I was referred to this office a while ago but they didn't take my insurance. FINALLY they are on Cigna so I made an appointment and got in within the week. Everyone was super kind from the front desk to the xray lady. They gave me lots of options, a shot which helped and Rita was really nice when I called with questions (fears) about my MRI. I would definately recomend Dr Broom and his staff to anyone needing a back doctor. (And Dr Broom is much nicer looking that his picture here) hahahaha

Got an excellent reference for Dr. Broom from another highly regarded Ortho surgeon. I chose Dr. Broom from 4 other surgeons after my initial consultation. The examination was punctual and complete. Dr. Broom explained my condition and outlined the surgery he recommended be done, providing all the details on success rates and likelihood for recovery. The PA (Rob) went out of his way to spend extra time with me to take me through the surgery step by step, answering every question I had in detail. Couldn't have been more informative. The day of surgery, I could barely walk and was in great pain. The PA put me at ease, joking to relieve anxiety. An hour later I woke from the discectomy surgery, was sitting up and all of my pain was gone. Could have walked out of surgery center but they won't let you. 4 weeks later I am back doing light exercise, seeing improvements every day, and have my life back. I expect to be back at tennis and golf in a couple of months. Thank you Dr. Broom.

I have been seeing Dr.Broom for over 15 years and had surgery 6 yrs ago. He is awesome! I love his PA Robt Rice and PA Rob Rowland too. I have had many epidurals. The staff has always been accommodating and I always got call backs. The surgery was very successful and I would not to to anyone else but him. My ins. at the time was not in network but they worked with me and I never felt it to be a problem. I cannot say enough good about this doctor, his PAs and his staff. If you have a back problem, this is where you should be.

Awful! I never got to see the Dr. until it was time to get my epidural shot, without any numbing medication. The PA Rob Rowland was very very rude! I asked a question and he refused to answer it, I then requested to see Dr. Broom and was told that I wasn't allowed to see him unless I was having surgery or getting the epidural shot! Mr. Rowland also became angry because county refused to pay for a myelogram test they ordered and wanted to continue to with the epidural shots. I tried to explain I had no control over this and requested to see Dr. Broom again, Mr. Rowland became more angry, as he raised his voice said since I wanted to question him and argue the relationship was over and he stated he released me and to go back to county, he also informed me everyone from county doesn't want to work and just wants SSI. I requested to speak with the office manager he insisted that he had to talk to her first. Needless to say, she said she would speak to Dr. broom and call me back. No call

AVOID! Never saw dr. 'til epidural (1 of 4), no anesthesia (OW!); most dr's use sedation- less pain better outcome. Can't get anyone DURING weekdays (though after-hours response was good), IF -big if- someone (probably not even a nurse) calls back they're nasty & unhelpful. When surgery recommended, staff SHOCKED I wanted to talk to doc 1st (first face/face w/ him). Post-surg., ok for 2 days then lots of pain, they d/x "nerve irritation" & said steroids, when I tried to call same day w/ pus erupting from incision, no call back. After hours, PA said "good sign". Went in next day w/out appt (couldn't get one); 2 days later ER spent hours convincing them I had life-threatening infection, needed emergency surgery and IV for months. Fusion failed & never saw dr, PA disbelieved ER & CT scan. Finally told if I wore brace all would be ok; but my upper spine connected by muscle only; req. drastic emer. surgery to prevent paralysis or death, may never be free of pain or walk upright again.
