Dr. Adili did not provide any useful information in regards to preventing further injury to my knee, nor pros and cons of operating now in order to reduce further damage versus just operating later when pain or function is too unbearable. It was a 7-month wait for a 1-minute response - cocky and unhelpful. (I can't comment on his knowledge because other than reading the report summary, he didn't share any, so I just assigned three stars.) Now to find a more useful Dr...
Absolutely amazing!! I have had two knee replacements courtesy of Dr. Adili and I have had superb results. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, encouraging, and takes the time to listen to his patients' concerns. Glad I only have two knees as TKR is not "not a walk in the park". Patients have to be very involved with their rehab and self care to get good results. Surgery is only one piece of the puzzle. Patients have to do their part to get the full results that they desire.
Saw him for consult regarding TKR. He stated I was too young and too overweight. Fair enough. However, I did not appreciate that after he examined me and asked his questions - and had each of his residents do the same - he stood out in the hallway discussing the details of my case with them in PUBLIC; everyone else in the hallway could hear it as I could from inside the exam room. When one of his residents said "But the patient said regarding exercise..." he replied "The patient will tell you whatever they can to get what they want." WHAT??? Is that even remotely fair? The implication to the residents was that ALL PATIENTS ARE LIARS. He easily could have confirmed my claims with my family doctor, but instead chose to insult my character. My family doctor even suggested I report him to the Canadian Medical Association! I declined because I knew, given the fact he supervised them, his residents would have to support him, not me, even though I was honest! Avoid this self-gratifying man!
Assessment in February 2012, followed by pre-habilitation exercises to prepare for total knee replacement May 7, 2012, and more rehab after. Very impressed with entire experience and fast recovery. I know it is important to be proactive. I am very grateful for the fine care.
Not sure what all the hype is about. I did not care for him as a doctor at all. Had a very long wait, got shuffled from room to room. Finally when I did get to see him, he was very cut & dry, contradicted the initial assessment by one of his assistants. Questioned me, but really didn't listen. I need a knee replacement. But was told I have to wait more than five years. But, he will see me in six months. So, now I have to try & see someone else. I can barely walk from my front door to the sidewalk. I will not see him again. It was a complete waste of MY time. I was very disappointed with Dr. Adili.
You will always have a long wait to see him, and once you get to your app't another long wait. In my opinion, I would sooner wait for the doctor that everyone wants to see, and who is constantly delayed due to consultations in ER or the phone, than the doctor that can see you right away because no one else wants to see him!!!
Even though my hip was in pain and I had been walking incorrectly for over half a year, he refused to give me any sort of hip surgery. He also ridiculed the research that I had done. Eventually I found another surgeon to do the necessary surgery.
