Ratings for Dr. Mary Kagan
3.8
She is an amazing and helpful doctor, she is attentive, and spends the time to insure everything is taken care of.
I was so grateful Dr. Kagan became my GP several years ago. She has been incredibly kind, knowledgeable and helpful.
Back in 2009 she misdiagnosed my father that led to his passing in 2011. I curse this woman to this very day.
Dr. Kagan was incredibly helpful, kind and compassionate - can't thank her enough for walking me through a recent medical scare (please don't retire :) !). Staff at Burnside Medical are always efficient, kind and professional. Thanks everyone at Burnside Medical! (I spent 3 1/2 hours in the ER on the weekend, couldn't believe how rude and abusive some people were to medical staff. It must be tough working in the field these days).
Dr. Kagan's manners are lacking, she can be really short and submissive. She does not come across as supportive, caring or compassionate. At the walk-in clinic, she is obviously very busy but patient care is inadequate and very unprofessional. I try to avoid her which can be difficult is she is the doctor working the most. I'm physically disabled, with limited mobility, and she suggested that I should take more walks which is ridiculous because I have been diagnosed with multiple conditions and require a scooter and cane! My advice see someone else if possible.
I've seen and dealt with better doctors. My impression was she is overworked and too busy to provide attentive care (Especially to someone at a walk in clinic as was my case). Her follow up was rushed and she didn't take the time to review my results prior to contacting me and then failed to fully discuss them (Completely forgetting about an EKG that was done). Our health system is in a sad state and doctors will only blame the system and patient care will suffer until change happens.
Literally the only doctor I've had in my entire life that I was able to trust and talk to. I am so heartbroken that she's retiring, she was the only doctor that I felt like even cared about my well being enough to speak with me for more than 12 seconds. I wish Dr. Kagan well in the future and her well deserved retirement. I wish there were more women in family medicine as I'm struggling to find any other female doctors that are currently taking patients.
I am so sorry to hear that Dr Kagan has retired. She was the best Doctor I have ever had. She is kind, understanding, listens so well, supports me in every way and really makes me feel like she cares about my well being. I don't know how I will ever find a Doctor who supports me as Dr Kagan did. I hope she has a wonderful retirement! She deserves it!!!
Dr Kagan is a wonderful doctor who has been an tremendous asset to our family members in supporting optimum good health over the years. She is kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I am very happy to have had her as our family's doctor!
Very forgetful, doesn't listen, seems too have difficulty dealing with more than one thing at a time.
