1st time visit Dr Orr is caring and efficient with good patient skills, listens and explains any questions, looks you in the eye and is genuinely concerned about YOUR well-being. He gave me a good exam and was very informative and truthful about my concerns.Yes, you do have to have to wait but he doesn't rush you and gives you all his attention during your visit. So while you wait ,remember this office deals with some very sick people who might have received some very bad news, so with that in mind, I sat patiently and waited for my turn. I went for some pre-operative tests for hospital clearance for surgery. He reviewed my chest x-ray and my breathing test. I am a reformed smoker (quite 2 1/2 yrs ago) and truthfully was worried about my lungs after seeing some of those commercials on tv. Dr. Orr put my mind to ease about many things during my office visit. I left his office well informed and confident in my new dr. His staff are kind and efficient and put you at ease toO.
I am a relatively new patient with a problem. I have been sick for almost 4 months. The Doctors in Fair Lawn whom I have used for 26 years became rude and money hungry. They couldn't diagnose me and allowed me to become very ill, would"t see me, because of a small payment I owed. THEY DID ME A BIG FAVOR and I found Dr.Orr . As my NEW Doctor, I already adore him and his staff. Dr. Orr does not frighten the patient and add anxiety to their illness. He approaches the problem calmly and professionally. I believe that "HE" will take good care of me and get me back to the best health possible ! Thank God I am in great hands ! Sheryl
I have been seeing Dr Orr since 2000. I would highly refer him to anyone with pulmonary problems. He is the very best. If I move out of the area I would come back to Hackensack to see him. His Staff is just as great as he is. Through the years you form personal friendship with them all. They all treat you with great respect.
I was originally referred to another MD in the group. I was in extreme pulmonary distress and the staff fit me into a very busy schedule. I was lucky to see Dr Orr .. took great care of me. I have been under his care ever since 2004.
I have been going to Dr. Orr since 2000. I would not switch to any other. If I ever move out of the area, I would still come back for my yearly check ups. His staff is always just as pleasant as he is and ready to help you in any way they can, even with your insurance company. If anyone needs a pulmonary doctor you can't have any better than Dr. Orr. You may have to wait a bit in the waiting room but again he is worth the wait. He does treat everyone with the same respect wheather it is for a check-up or more serious problem. If you are looking for a good doctor try him, you will love him on your first visit.
You know a Dr. is good when the staff that works with him in the hospital daily, at the patient's bedside, takes their own family to see him. That's the way the staff feels about Dr. Orr. I am a respiratory therapist, and nobody works closer to pulmonary drs. than we do. That work experience is why I took my father-in-law to see Dr. Orr after he was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2006. He was very honest and to the point with my family and a great comfort to me. I knew that we wre not being given false hope, and we were given the best information and treatment available. As a health care professional, it is my honor to work side by side with Dr. Orr, and I would, and do, recommend him quite often.
