The stollery hospital was incredible. The care my son received was absolutely amazing and the staff was incredible with not only him but with my entire family. They made sure that my mental health was taken care of while going thru the most stressful time of my life. My son is recovered now and I will be great fun to them for the rest of my life. There are not enough words to express my gratitude.

The worst experience I have ever expericed medically. 7 day with a broken tibial and haven't seen a surgeon and nurse don't know any information about anything and do everything they can to avoid patents.

This is the best hospital in Edmonton in my opinion. I think very highly of every worker there. (Especially the liver transplant program. Second busiest transplant program in Canada!) Of course you have some bad employees, but that happens anywhere. Unfortunately the wait times in the Emergency can be long because it's such a big and busy hospital, welcome to the Alberta healthcare system. So much research happens here with ground breaking findings. Also bring a lot of cash for parking if you are coming to visit or have a day appointment (not unusual for Canadian hospitals.)

Wonderful care and excellent physicians, if you wait it's because you are not that sick if you get in right away it's life threatening.

Triage nurses do not know how to treat patients with a mental illness. Upon being discharged from the ER I was given back my clothes only to find out that my brand new shorts were cut deliberately by the triage nurse.

I go to U of A for the best; my doctor is the best- this is the hospital for me. Nothing of note has gone poorly there. The pre-admission clinic is not great, but they get the job done eventually.

Terrible triage in emergency. 62 year old husband waited 6 hours in emergency with tumor in head and vision blurred. never did get seen by neurologist after 13 hours and U of A diagnosed tumor which was awaiting surgery. No diagnosis and lost opportunity if he had stroke for medication required in first hour following stroke. Terrible staff attitudes-work to rule??

I have 17 brain surgeries from craniofacial craniotomies to v.p. shunt surgeries. If it wasn't for the UofA, I wouldn't be doing as well as I am...My daughter had 2 neuro surgeries and the nurses were absolutely wonderful with her. If I am ever required to be in hospital, the UofA is the place I want to be.
