I took my father for a prostate follow up and was acutely aware of the lack of diversity at PMH. This is Toronto in 2016. The lack of committment at PMH is troubling.

A dreadful place! It is dirty, elevators stink from sewage pipes below the elevators and have not been fixed for over a year. Clinics very uncomfortable especially the Gynecology clinics.

Patient with stage 3 pancreatic cance rnot given options for tratment other than the one chemo drug the oncologist peddles and gets support from drug company to do clinical trials although these have been conducted elsewhere. There are other options for tratments but patients here are told to wait and wait for blood test results and then sent home by incompetent oncologists

I've been going to PMH for almost 15 years for treatments its a very busy place there's a lot of sick people out there. But what I've noticed is everybody cares be it the nurses the interns and doctors they have compassion in what they do. When it comes to appointments you have be flexible it is almost impossible not to wait past your appointment time because when your its your time they never rush you out the door at least that's my experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Christine Chen at PMH Hematology Clinic. Dr. Chen is an excellent doctor, very knowledgeable in her field, she gives confidence. Her people skills are demonstrated by listening and compassion. She understands that a patient is an individual and individuals differ, some are direct, right to the point others are not. I’m a technical logical thinker, right to the point, a doctor without people skills would have difficulty understanding me. I congratulate PHM financial donors’ for having a doctor of her calibre.

I have dealt with two doctors in the Head and Neck Centre during the past fifteen years and my husband dealt with prostate cancer a few years ago. Both of us have very positive comments to say about the hospital. I have had surgeries in five different hospitals during the last couple of years. I would put Princess Margaret at the top.

The staff and the volunteers really care...My great- great Aunt Rose use to own the property that Princess Margaret is located on. She took care of the elderly She had a nursing home. I think she would be so proud that such a wonderful hospital such as Princess Margaret is a place where health, healing, and helping people still continues on the way it should be.

Confusing layout, especially for a chemotherapy patient with a muddled brain, or a person who is not very ambulatory. As well, there are no available wheelchairs for such an individual. They are all in use, or reserved as the "Information Guy" so adamantly expressed. Reserved for who? Supplying wheelchairs at a hospital that gets so much money in donations and support is the very least PMH can do. The Hematology Clinic on the 2nd floor North Bldg was chaotic. They messed up our appointment time and put us with a different Oncologist without notifying us first. From the tone of the clerk towards the booking person, it's something that happens all the time. We waited for almost two hours past our scheduled appointment time. No apologizes from anyone for the lateness. Then we had to tell our story to a Nurse, Fellow, and finally the consulting Doctor. Each one parading in after the other. You really feel like just another OHIP billing in this place instead of a person.

An amazing hospital with amazing doctors. My experience at Princess Margaret has been wonderful. The knowledge that this place goes beyond amazing. They are leaders in cancer care and research. Thank you PMH

Treated with vast disrespect, waited 4-6hours for appts, refused info on my breast cancer & treatment, doors left open during examinations, 1 Dr joked that it didn't matter anyway as I had nothing to see after bilateral mastectomies. Oncologist shouted over questions, clueless, referred to & wrote in wrong chart regularly, put me in chemo then went on holiday for 3 weeks giving me no emerg info, overall terrible record keeping, took over a yr to get my records sent, Patient Relatios Director told me "any one of my doctors is worth more than any dying cancer patient" when I requested a different chemo oncologist & offered to refer me elsewhere which she said should take months so "you'll be dead b4 the transfer is done". Physically assaulted twice by same phlebotomist who the hospital refused to discipline (dying cancer patient expendable thing). The worst, most badly operated hosp I've experienced in Canada or US. Expect to respond to your patient # rather than your name.
