PMH Top for Cancer Treatment Yes. The oncology department needs to be seriously looked at by the government. I was physically abused & belittled by one of the male oncologist. Reported it to patient relations, the CEO's office, Dr Liu/head of the dept. Nothing will be done, he is free to abuse other female patients. I have also reported him to the College of Physicians. He also shared my file with other doctors without my permission. Dr. Liu didn't seem to care about any of this & pretty much said I was 1 of1000(s) seen at PMH. Cancer is hard enough to go through without being abused. The new oncologist I see now, I tried to explain the pain I endured with other oncologist she works with but was pretty much told to be quiet & that she knew all she needed to know when she reviewed my file (without my permission) with the doctor who abused me. I can do nothing regarded the first oncologist I seen but I only hope that no other woman has to endure what I did.

Best hospital. Was cared for quick and thoroughly. Competent staff, nurses and doctors. Really felt cared and looked after. Was diagnosed with cancer and had surgery within a month.

Majority of the doctors in this hospital are totally arrogant and incompetent. It is laughable that none of top US hospitals accept pathology results from this hospital. I experienced first hand how many mistakes they made during my treatment. The doctors don't care about well being of patients rather than getting kickbacks from drug companies. I could have died if I did not get second opinion from top US hospitals. The place is dirty and washrooms do not cleaned that often.

I'm having the worst experience right now with PMH. I had a really radical surgery done at Toronto General by my ENT (who is good), however my cancer has returned, and I'm getting little to no attention. Referrals are misplaced or sent to the wrong departments, and my tumor is literally growing daily on my face...I'm getting so overwhelmed and upset - the staff (admin) are dismissive and rude, and the whole arrogance of the people is disgusting. They're playing with people's live...it's just sad and infuriating. The doctors may be fine, but they are treated as a deities, and if can't get past the gatekeepers (admin) you're essentially screwed by going through their "process"

For a so called cancer centre I was appalled by my experience there. Oncologists I dealt with were dismissive and arrogant about my case, I did not feel listened to or well cared for. If I had not pushed my case I would have stage 4 cancer or be dead by now. Time the doctors dropped their arrogance and over confidence in their so called knowledge and started listening to the patient. The only way to stay alive under the Ontario medical system is to strong self advocate, assuming you are strong and well enough to be able to.

I took my father for a prostate follow up and was acutely aware of the lack of diversity at PMH. This is Toronto in 2016. The lack of committment at PMH is troubling.

A dreadful place! It is dirty, elevators stink from sewage pipes below the elevators and have not been fixed for over a year. Clinics very uncomfortable especially the Gynecology clinics.

Patient with stage 3 pancreatic cance rnot given options for tratment other than the one chemo drug the oncologist peddles and gets support from drug company to do clinical trials although these have been conducted elsewhere. There are other options for tratments but patients here are told to wait and wait for blood test results and then sent home by incompetent oncologists
