I believe I was sexually assaulted at sick kids in 1964 while being treated there. I was 2 years old and have memories of being in a tiled basement, equipment storage room and/or a room with a conveyor belt were the incident occurred.

I went to their emergency room needing stitches on a large cut on my hand, and I had to wait 2.5 hours for anyone to come and see me, only to tell me that the surgeon will be here in an hour. the surgeon was very nice, but i woke up in the middle of surgery. if you have a critical emergency, count on them. but if it is a minor injury like mine, you might want to go to a less busy hospital.

Great facility dedicated to kids. Lot of play areas and volunteers ready to lend a helping hand. I can't imagine a better place for our sons surgery.

Absolutely amazing! Our 1.5yr old son had trouble breathing last evening so we took him in to our hospital (southlake in Newmarket). They took about an hour to assess him and then another couple hours for an x-ray. They finally sent us home without any medication and told us it was a normal reaction to a viral infection.
We barely reached home and his condition worsened so we went straight to sick kids emergency. Within 20min of reaching the hospital our son had already seen the doctor and was administered treatment! Dr. Wiley and the rest of the staff were absolutely incredible! They kept our son for five hours just to make sure he was ok before sending us home. The nurses checked in on him every 15-20 min and even covered us (my husband and myself) in blankets when we dozed off! We are so touched and grateful! We can't thank the sick kids team enough!

I have had 5 star experiences (5 visits prior to 2014) with this facility before but have directly experienced it over the last to 3 emergency visits (after 2014), and have seen its rating dropping to "terrible".
From the moment you walk in to the facility you see garbage and mess, construction and dust, and the emergency rooms too, there are indications that the rooms are not getting cleaned regularly. The washrooms out of soap and most of dispensaries out of sanitizes.
Where are those friendly faces? Staff seems to me tired or careless. E.g. This registration staff was surfing a ZOO website, with little attention or care, when I approached her to inform her about washroom being out of soap.
What has changed? New CEO and CIO?

My son has been at sick kids for like 3 weeks now. He has fungal pneumonia which was hard to detect however with the excellent team of doctors and nurses they found the root of the problem. Currently he has started he's treatment and I must say the nurses look after him quite well. Nurse Christian is excellent about her job and shows so much empathy towards us. The entire staff is doing whatever it takes to get our son Norwin up and running. Thank You Sick Kids.

I was treated for 18 years at sick kids - until I aged out. Sick kids saved me. I cannot thank them enough. The doctors, the nurses, all the staff I have encountered have been amazing. Sick kids hospital is the most magical hospital I am aware of. It's just completely filled with love. I will recommend this hospital for as long as I live.
