My mom was transferred to this place from Markham stouffville hospital after a heart attack for kidney dialysis. She was in icu taken out in a day and put into 3rd floor her lungs filled with fluid my dad and I asked the nurse to remove the fluid he stated she was fine had second heart attack at Markham stouffville the nurses removed fluid as soon as they heard or saw distress. My mom should never have been taken out of icu incompetent nurses I asked to speak to a doctor was told dr. Chu would be coming in an hour or so still waiting for this doctor to come. Alarm bells sounding off in my moms room and nurse is sitting there surfing vacations on the computer and ignoring the alarms (I have pictures that I took) doctors don't care no one cares. My mom passed on November 17 2016 at this place after Markham stouffville hospital stated they were not worried about her heart but her kidneys. This place killed my mom please do not take loved ones there go anywhere else but here drive the extra you will survive. My sister in law works for a hospital in Toronto and she asked the icu nurse one question and the nurse did not even know to answer the nurse responsibility is one patient for their shift shame stupid incompetent people work there. Save yourself and loved ones go else where and not here you/ they will not survive

I'm a doctor, my family members are doctors, all my friends are doctors, and my father (the patient at MH) is also a doctor so I'm very familiar with medicine. This hospital really is the worst hospital in the GTA. Unbelievable debauchery and no one knows basic diagnosis. My cousin (specialist doctor well known in the GTA) told us to immediately get my father transferred out of MH! Luckily my father was transferred out. Thank God. Please, anyone with a loved one who is ill, believe me, do not come to this hospital. I know doctors mean well, but the level of competency here is subpar. God bless.

Worst hospital ever. My elderly father caught c difficile there after suffering a heart attack. He never got rid of the c.difficult even when he came home. Soon after he caught pneumonia which was not diagnosed in emergency and sent home. Two days later he was taken by ambulance there and diagnosed with pneumonia. He was on a ventilator and stopped breathing. His nurse told someone who asked I don't think he will last the night and he died at 9:13 PM. I was sure my dad would prove him wrong. That place is a zoo.

Went to the Emergency and the staff there were very rude and the wait time was ridiculous. Left and ended up going to Markham Stouffville Hospital with much better service and wait time.

The worst hospital. Rude and careless stuff. Not enough doctors. Do not provide any information, just WAIT until doctor comes. And he never ever comes. Dirty hospital, patients do not have rooms, are laying in the corridors under AC, nurses are careless and rude, talking to each other rather then taking care of patients. all the stuff has an ATTITUDE. After taking analysis and prescription of medication, they call you the next day to find out what was prescribed. Horrible!!! NEVER GO THERE! The only good thing was Dr. Poon in the Emergency who came after # of hours to consult, but at least was attentive, professional and careful. DR. POON, leave this horrible place!

This hospital is the worst. DO NOT GO HERE! Drive further to another hospital. My 80 year old mother has cancer, came down with pneumonia and had a heart attack due to the stress of the pneumonia. They had her in emerge for 3 days, FINALLY gave her an echo 3-days later and now has a room (4-days later). Still haven't seen a doctor; someone on "rounds" came by after two hours and said we'll have to wait to speak to the on call doctor on Monday as he was just a care giver. WTF???? So basically no ones going to help for another 2-days? How does this make sense??? Does anyone know how to report this hospital?

I feel awful for stating this because there are a few good doctors there, but I advise my family and friends to pay the extra $$$$ and go north to Southlake Newmarket where funding must be better

Three family members misdiagnosed- two fatal

Unknowledgeable. Unprofessional. Impatient and rude. Never go to this hospital. Drive further to a real one. Mackenzie 'Health' is a joke. Terrible doctors. Terrible nurses.
