Unprofessional, nurse didn't brother cleaning hands often. Saw one grab garbage bin and then attach the IV. Gross. Rude. Asked to know where the doctor was, was told that waiting happens. Didn't seem to care

This is probably the worst hospital that I have ever been to!! I don't think that I have ever experienced anything worse in my life. Rude staff. 1 doctor for the entire ER department... if you have an emergency, this is the LAST place that you should ever go!!!!!

A specialist and my family doctor both suggested that I get genetic testing done. When we got to the hospital there was no parking spots available so we had to park very far and walk over, which isn't very practical considering it's a hospital and majority of the people visiting are patients. Besides that, the doctors we met seemed like they had some sort of point to prove and weren't so helpful untill we started asking several questions. The doctor seemed to be in some sort of rush and denied the need for the testing, a test that was suggested by a specialist and a family doctor (the only reason we were there, and yes a refferal was sent with all the information already outlined) so what we don't understand is why book a patient, have them come down and verbally say the same thing written on the referral and tell them no, when they could've just denied the referral and saved our time, effort and gas. And yes that doctor got paid through Ohip (our tax money) for doing nothing. Won't recommend going here, that appointment was a waste of a day.

had cracked right kneecap surgically repaired which was hurting me. i went to emer and told them and even grabbed my knee and asked if this was my problem, they told me a stent operation was a piece of cake and no xrays or blood test done on implant which went septic right leg amputated. the surgeon likes to amputate,he likes to cut high making rehab more difficult. avoid this hospital useless doctors use er to sell surgeries. stay away if you like your legs

ER was terrible. I was 28 weeks pregnant with food poisoning and they made me wait 3 hours just to see the doctor and then wanted to put me on an IV in a waiting room with a bunch of sick people waiting to get blood test results rather than take me to the maternity ward to care for me there (like they did at Collingwood Hospital where the service was much better). It was only after I told the doctor and nurse in ER I rather go home and get the test results done tomorrow rather than wait in a room of sick people that the doctor finally told me to the maternity ward to do tests and care there. Things were better in the mat. ward but the ER has ridiculously slow service. What offended me even more is that when I went up to the maternity ward, I saw another pregnant woman leaving who had arrived literally 2 hours after me....How is it that that she got taken to the mat ward so much sooner while I was stuck in the ER when I was not contagious but and had dehydration from food poisoning? So inconsiderate.

This hospital is known to the community as a death hospital. They hold themselves out as a trama center for stroke and possibly heart.
They wouldn't know a stroke situation that is in front of them.
A local resident cried out in the sunnybrook hospital I can't if in emergency go to the death hospital in Vaughan. The people around her as well as I immediately knew that she was talking about Major MacKenzie hospital

The worst experience ever. After waiting in ER for almost 5- hours I was finally seeing by Dr. Gibson Paul. He prescriped me with an antiboidocs and didn't even work for me. I requested in ultra sound he said no just take the Medicne it should work, two days later I ended up having kidney stone. I was in so much pain couldn't even walk from the pain!! Never again ... Staff are very rude and doctors don't know nothing.

Exceptional care and compassion from the physicians, nurses and staff. Started in emergency and needed to have surgery. Was very impressed with the hospital.

The hospital staff are not well trained or professional. I had a surgery at the hospital and was bleeding in dangerous amounts after waking up from the anesthesia and the nursing staff did nothing to help and instead sent me home while bleeding; they couldn't care less!I also almost died from an airway obstruction in the ER a few years back, waiting and coughing non stop for 6 hours to be seen by a physician. The hospital in general is very disorganized and a lot of the jobs are done by child volunteers who do not have any knowledge of what they are doing.
