I just had an endoscopy and an colonoscopy done at Mackenzie Health. The nurses did their job just right, the anaesthesiologist was professional as was Dr Derek Yu, the gastroenterology who performed both procedures. I have no real complaints about the place, yes, the bathroom needed a bit of a dusting, it wasn't fanciest medical facility I was ever in, but the people did their job spot on. Come to Romania and see what a dirty, unprofessional hospital looks like before whining about this one. I bet you'll change your minds when you have to share a bed with another patients, the roaches run under your bed, you have to bribe your doctor or else he won't give you the time of day. I have no complaints. Value 5 stars, why do I say that ? In Europe this procedures would have cost me, with anaesthesia at least 1,500 - 2000 dollars out of my own pockets. So I thank OHIP for that.

One of the worst hospitals I have encountered. My experience ranges from stopping a nurse who was about to give me an IV without emptying the air in the syringe (!) to a doctor prescribing a medication I am allergic to - as shown in my records in front of her (!)

The worst hospital, terrible service, not enough doctors, long wait time- and often enough they would do the wrong things it is NOT a teaching hospital so their standards are quite low.

Excellent care for my aunt in surgery and cancer program. Both her main nurses were caring and attentive.

So much to say but essentially it is the worst hospital. Avoid and beware if possible.

Recently I had an operation in this hospital. they took off a cyst of 18cm out my body. After two hours they send me home. They said because of budget saving. How ever my doctor was notified that the nurse Will come to visit you In two days, the nursery of this hospital changes the story and said we Will never go to the address. You have to come visit us . The next day they make me go 25km far to the nursery station in the _21chill.now

I could write an essay on the things wrong with Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, as well as how they could easily be fixed. Perhaps i will write a letter to them, in hopes it helps.

But for now, all i will say is that no hospital should ever make you feel like you're in prison. They can lock you up for 72 hours and leave you there under the guise that you NEED to be there 72 hours, but the truth is the doctors are lazy.

avoid at all costs, altho it IS clean, i give it a 0 because it's clean enough to see your own reflection, but you won't like what you see when they're done with you.

Came into the ER with nausea, vomiting and alot of pain. They were so incompetent that after being in the ER for 3 days, YES 3 DAYS, they finally admitted me into the ICU. That ICU was a further nightmare with so much noise I couldnt sleep for the next 7 days. They wouldnt sedate me either. Nurses were dropping my IV on the drop and then reattach it into my arm.

After I got out of the ICU I drove to North York General in agony and checked myself in.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ITS WORTH THE EXTRA TIME FOR YOUR HEALTH.
