I'm assuming that nobody that has brought in a child with Lyme disease on this app since both my children were misdiagnosed and I was told it was all in their heads, eg, my daughter had pain because she was one of 10% of kids with anxiety that manifested in pain. My son was told that they couldn't help him with his pain because I had already done all the things they would do to help him. I had to suggest other things they could try, eg, ketamine topical cream, and they had never even heard of it! No Lyme tests were done on either of them, in fact even though they knew I had it, there wasn't one question about it for my kids. I found two years later that I had passed on the bacteria through nursing. Had my three year old daughter been diagnosed and treated, she would not have had to go through the terrible illness she did for the following twelve years. If you suspect Lyme don't take your child to Sick Kids, get a private test through Igenx lab in California. Even if they get a positive test, their doctors still won't treat beyond two months of antibiotics anyway. I have not been helped by Sick Kids, in fact my kids have suffered from going there. The pain clinic is dismal and a joke.

Great attention and service. My son was admitted for observation and they made his stay enjoyable even though he was in pain.

The best place a sick child could be. Amazing doctors, a well looked after hospital, advanced care services. Wonderful. We are still friends with some doctors even when the patient in my family no longer is a patient at Sick Kids.

This hospital is incredible! it's number one for a reason. I was only seen at this hospital for 3 years, but I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to be seen there at all, as I am not from Toronto. I had the best neurosurgeon you could ask for, and I owe everything to him. He's allowed me to be headache free, and that's something that many doctors before were unable to accomplish. I was in hospital for an entire month last year, and the nurses on the neurosurgery unit were (for the most part) all amazing. So kind and caring, you could tell that they actually enjoy their job, and they do it well, too. The people in every department I was in at any given time were also incredible. The people in diagnostic imaging, IGT, and especially the Operating Room were just, ahh. Everyone made me feel so at ease, and that's big when you're about to undergo major brain surgeries. Cannot say enough good things about this place. I so badly wish I had known about how much better Sick Kids is than the hospitals where I live, because I was being robbed of many years of care that everyone deserves, and that's unfortunate. I recommend this place to everyone that I see now, and make sure they know to bring their kids here once they have them (as I am 19 now, so they know for future reference when friends decide to have kids). Because of all that those currently working here have done for me, I hope to be able to also work here so that I can 'give back", and I can't wait for this day :)
