One week. 2 visits to the ER. One good. One bad. Dr. Visser was wonderful. He was nice, attentive, thoroughly listened and talked to us about the quality, care, reasons and possible problems. When we left, our minds were at ease, and we had the information we needed to make sound decisions when recognizing head traumas. We got what we paid for: piece of mind. Tonight I had Dr. Mark Rogers he did not provide quality care. He did not listen to my concerns. He disregarded the information that I had gotten from the PA the day before. But, most importantly, when he told me to go to the store and get any medication that is over the counter for colds - I was shocked. I told him that pharmacists say that a 2-year-old cannot have most of those medicines. He disregarded this. I told him that most of the boxes say 4 and over. He told me to dose him based on weight. The box says if you are 2 - consult a doctor. He told me that basically those are just labels and anything you use is good. Well, he was wrong. Dead wrong. What he should have told me (thanks to Google and other online articles) is that he could take a medicine that has Guaifenesin only. What he could have told me is how frequently I could do the breathing treatments. What he could have told me is the dosage for Benedryl. What he could have told me was the name of the medications he thought I should use. Instead, he told me nothing. That is scary. People go to ER because they are worried and concerned. They don't take it lightly as it costs a lot of money. When following the directions of the PA and reading about 10 articles and following and looking for those signs, when I come in, don't discount me. Don't make me feel like my concerns weren't valid. Most importantly leave me with a feeling of peace, coupled with some short-term specific solutions to get me through the night until I can reach my primary doctor. For the hundreds of dollars, I will have to pay to line your pockets - the least you could have done is googled it. It is a shame that at the end of the day, I found more comfort, information and accurate dosages, and medications for my little one. I hope that next time, you will give the quality of care that we pay tooth and nail for. #dobetter #listen #patientsdeservequalitycare #ERanywhereelse #VissernotRogers #dontchanceit

I went to the ER at this hospital due to threatened miscarriage on a Sunday night. I was treated well by the nurses and the doctor was very kind and informative. Blood was drawn and an Ultrasound was conducted by a kind, professional and knowledgeable technician. The phlebotomist was the only bad experience -she dug around in my vein without producing any blood and ended up drawing from my hand. I was in and out in about 2.5 hours. Not bad.

It was horrible at Tomball Hospital. At about 4:30 pm I went the ER with chest pain. After some time and a few standard tests the ER doc told me that since I had already had 2 stress tests done that I needed to have a heart cath done. I finally agreed and stayed. At 1:00 in the afternoon the next day they came to my room to take me for my STRESS TEST. I told them I was there for a heart cath and that I have already had 2 stress tests. They are so stupid, I finally left at 6:40 without getting any test. Starved to death and dizzy and wasn't even offered a wheelchair ride down to the car. This hospital is the absolute worst.
