After years of feeling weak, depressed and just tired of going to doctors with no results, I went to Cleveland Clinic and the first day was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Prior to this visit I had been to Endocrinologist and Cancer doctor in Tennessee who failed to diagnose my cancer. Later my urologist in Tennessee said I needed a second prostrate biopsy due to high PSA and increased chance of cancer. I went to CC for second opinion. Cc did MRI and no cancer! I .stronly recommend Cleveland Clinic.
If I had a dog I would not take him or her to receive care there. I was a patient of the main campus in the past. When I was there the nursing by nurses and aids was terrible. The one thing that they are good at is "got any pain?" the don't encourage you to do any personal care at all, brush teeth, showers, nothing. As a result I now had to have dentures. A;so, because of the condition that this great doctor left me in I still have major problems. I still have to look for more doctors that can do reconstructive surgery for me to be able to walk again. Also to finally have a little control over thie pain I have. How many people know not to cut radiated tissue because it won't heal? Not this kook!!! He did and I still have problems because of this. How many doctors would stretch skin over a bone and not put any kind of fat over it? He did, now I have to make sure I sit on pillows. The hard part of that is making sure I can sit on a padded seat. You know what? There isn't a lot of padded benches to sit on. So a lot of times by evening I am in so much pain. Alsp, why you are there hang tight on to your things. I had a partial plate while I was there and what happened? One of the staff threw it away. Also, I had a cell phone and accidentally left it in a front pocket in one of those gowns. It went down to the laundry. Then one of the staff called my son and wanted him to pay him lots of bucks to get it back. Just think my phone got held for a ransom. Did we pay it? Nope we had it shut off and he had another one that services were turn on to it. My thing is if this is"First class care," I would have to see second class care! If you are a star or professional sport player you will get that kind of care, if not, look out!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. I use to have nightmares about that place. I finally don't have them any more!
The various departments do not work together, in particular the MS dept and the pain clinic. My son has MS but one would have thought that they never had a payient with his type of MS there. We went there to ease his horrific pain but 6 months later, he was still in the same pain. The doctors are not fortcoming with info but hide behide behide a cloak of political correctness. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
Worst ER visit of my life!! I waited 12 hours!! I never got a diagnosis and was sent home in the same condition. I asked 4 times for my normal home meds. They said they would get them but they never did so I didn't get my scheduled medication which was very dangerous considering my conditions. I requested my neurosurgeon to be consulted 3 times, he never was. This was a problem with an implanted device he placed!! And he told me to go to the ER and he would see me there. I was thrown in a room after we waited 4 hours in the waiting room and nobody even came to the room for over an hour. So..5 hours..still haven't seen a doctor.my husband had to go to the desk and ask for a pillow 3 times which I never did get. VERY VERY poor patient care!! I would never suggest this ER. I left there feeling helpless and very degraded!!
