She is horrid at surgeries. Don't ever do a surgery with her especially Adinoid tonsil surgery!

Horrible, horrible horrible. I was in this facility for a week. They nearly killed me in the ER. The people drawing blood are not always phlebotomists. they are past employees of Horton that were told that if they took a quick course, they could be paid more than clerk salary to draw blood. It took more that 6 times before she could get any blood. She tried top of my foot and I was later told this could have sent an embolism that could have killed me. similar to others, I was in the ER for many hours before getting to a room. when I finally got a room, my IV infiltrated and the nurse would do nothing about it. had to call a supervisor. took over a half an hour for nurse to come and pull IV... definitely worst hospital I have ever experienced...and I am a nurse.

This is the worst hospital I have ever been in. From the ER to Admitting to finally securing a bed and the care I received, it is the worst experience I have ever had...bar none. I was taken from my doctor's office to ORMC via ambulance and waited in the ER for over 7 hours while they decided to accept me as a patient and secure a bed for me. The ER, while new and spacious, is designed for trauma on a grand scale and not for patient comfort. The room they placed me in was ice cold, forbidding, cut off from everything and everyone. Intake by the nurse was grueling. Their techs must draw blood from cattle and not humans. Just getting up to go to the one lavatory they had all the way down the other end of the hall was an ordeal. Doctors came and doctors went, never letting on what they were thinking or deciding. Finally 5 hours into it I asked what was what! Oh, I was being admitted...didn't they come down yet? No...why do you think I'm asking? I hadn't eaten all day and was starving, thirsty and sick as a dog with some unknown malady. Not one of MY physicians was called or came! Suddenly I was a victim of the "Hospitalists" who represented Crystal Run Healthcare and a group of nurses that were inept, at best. Besides the unknown situation with my health I have on chronic pain problem for which I take Morphine every 12 hours plus breakthough narcotics! This was problematic for them as the nurses like to do things in order when doling out morning, interim and night medications. God forbid you should ask them to take you out of "your turn!" I was there for 10 days and was just about as sick when I came out as when I went in. They were having trouble finding just the right Antibiotic for me! No one there knows you and you are expected to fill them in on many, many years of history. It's awful. The way they have it arranged with the doctors that are sent in to see you, is no boon to patients. It's dollars and cents from the bottom to the top. This is not a matter of good care...it is a matter of them getting the most money for mediocrity and less!

Nice, clean, beautiful new facility. Some of the doctors leave something to be desired but I think that's true everywhere. There are frustrating aspects - like why it takes 5+ hours to get a medication delivered to the wing from the pharmacy down the hall... but overall I feel like this is the best facility in our area for medical needs.
