It is common knowledge in the local area that this hospital can treat a hangnail , but if anything else is wrong to get out of Dodge. This hospital can hire only poor quality and inefficient doctors and controls their every move. It is rumored that each provider has to order a certain number of tests or procedures each week in order to keep their job. The doctors at NMH are afraid to refer patients to other doctors outside of Havre. If the patient does find a doctor outside of town the Havre doctors are rude and discourteous to the outside provider. The phrase "Havre has it" may be true, but not in the way of QUALITY healthcare.

NMH has a local reputation of poor service, poor care. Word amongst local is unless your dying go to Great Falls 120 miles away! Communication at NMH is poor. Nurses attitudes towards patients are generally rude and condensending. Doctors are argumentative, interupt, and knowledge levels are poor. Doctor did not even know that my signs and symptoms where consistent with my disease and he did know that my disease was and auto-immune disorder. Run and re-run frequent labs with same results. I would agree with their reputation...unless your dying go somewhere else, anywhere else.
