As an insulin dependent diabetic, I was scheduled for a procedure that required "no food after midnight." It was supposed to be early in the morning, but by noon they finally came to take me downstairs. By 3PM I dropped into a very serious blood sugar situation couple with a PTSD episode. The doctor's (whom I did not know at all)medical practitioner was very rude proving the old adage that you can dress someone up, but you cannot remove the symptoms of a nasty personality. The operating room staff, were most unprofessional, making fun of my hair and various other things, while telling the doctor to go ahead and give this freak 14 pills of a blood thinner.

Holmes Regional and MOST Health First facilities are substandard. Worst experiences ever. I have a genetic clotting disorder that I begged to be tested for. This also killed my father in 1970. After over200+ visits and several DVT's and arguments with doctors they finally tested and found the genetic mutation. You would think that would be enough, but even after that, I was actually accused of having Munchausen syndrome for all my visits (because THEY were failing to find what was wrong with me) and this was put in my records without ANY psychiatric testing. Last I looked, it was physically impossible for me to insert mutated genes into my body for attention!!!! This is just the tip of the iceburg. I will spare you the rest of my medical nightmare with rude doctors and undereducated nurses. The second my husbands hmo is eligible for change, I will be dropping Health First insurance and going with Blue Cross Blue Shield and relishing the 3 hour trip to Jacksonville's Mayo clinic!!!

Bloody worst hospital experience ever. I had a procedure in Interventional Radiology the doctor was an absolute clown! Hard to believe this bloke was board certified! Will never set foot in that poor excuse of a hospital again!

2nd visit to ER in 3 mths. VERY concerned about the poor quality of care the Drs and their PA's offer. On both visits I found several nurses and female drs/PAs to be rude. Failure to do a blood test resulted in missing a very important symptom! I would NOT trust this hospital ER to deal with TRAUMA. As a result of my mistreatment I went to MIMA walk in clinic following day and received the tx I expected from the ER (bld test, diagnosis, wound care, topical anti biotic and low dose pain script for the pain and nausea, concern & compassion). I have great insurance that I pay dearly for (by choice) and I received worse than substandard care at Holmes Regional. Very dissapointed that it's my local hospital and now I have to travel to Cape Canaveral.
