My son was about 5 days old when admitted into Lawnwood medical center. He went into adrenal crisis due to not being treated for a medical issue My son, Gavin Tenner was admitted to Lawnwood the beginning is Sept 2017 under advisement from his primary pediatrician. He was just a couple days old at the time. The reasoning for his admission was results from his newborn screening that indicated he has congenital adrenal hyperplasia. The doctors had these results. Over the course of several days my son became increasingly ill. The pediatric endocrinologist NEVER even came to see my son in person and was trying to treat him over the phone via lab results. My son had what seemed like 20 vials of blood taken a day and contracted MRSA. The endo on his case claimed he did not believe my son had CAH as his test results stated. His electrolytes were at an unmanageable level. The only treatment he was receiving for his potassium levels was albuteral. My son ended up going into a near fatal adrenal crisis and being airlifted to another hospital. Once we arrived at the new hospital his doctor informed me that he does indeed have a "very textbook case of congenital adrenal hyperplasia" and his crisis could have been avoided had he been getting the steroid treatment he needed. If the doctors would have treated my son based upon his original test results, the situation could have been avoided. He also contracted conjunctivitis while in their care. We know have $1,000s of dollars in medical bills. It is very difficult for me to type out this whole ordeal and really give my "complaint" justice. As there are no words to describe the near loss your child due to a doctors negligence.

Dirty bed pad left in bathroom. Call lights not answered. Most doctors were nice but one was extremely rude.
