Surgeon was running late. Resident wanted to perform surgery. I said NO since it was a rather detailed serious surgery. Patient next to me went into cardiac arrest. Seems the Resident that wanted to perform surgery (he had no clue because I questioned him) gave this cardiac patient to much ether!!! CPR revived that patient; but, his heart stopped. BUMC is CARELESS...

Banner UMC is by far the worst medical group in Tucson. The cancer center has gone drastically down hill in the last couple years.

The BEST specialists are gone from UMC since Banner Health took over. Their PCP program is a joke. Residents only in clinic a couple times a week. Need a quick visit? Forget it!!! Urgent Care or Hospital only. Adios.

Since Banne came in the service has become so bad that this pass week I decided I had enough of Banner. They left me in the room for 45 min to get me an appointment with another Dr. They have not resolved a pain in my stomach area in two years. They scheduled me for a lung stress test. I asked what they were going to do and they said give you one treatment to put me in distress do the brea thing test then give me a medication that would take me out of stress. I asked what medication they would use. They said abuterol, I asked had they looked at the medications I am allergic to they said no. I then reminded them the last time I had it, it put me into the hospital for 5 days. The Dr mussed it, the system missed it and pulmonary missed it. They then canceled the test and they never called back to figure out my lung issue. They changed my scheduled rheumatology appointment twice both times over a month out, when they called to make the third change I told them I am finding a new doctor. There check in procedures are different at every location. There new software program they use is out dated and poor quality. Had a scheduled Dr. appointment and the doctor moved to another location. We did not have the address so we looked up the appointment on there portal and we could not find the address in the system so we had to call them to get the new address. I have four doctors that I like but will not use any other doctors from Banner. I have not heard one employee from Banner say anything positive about the new computer system or Banner. I am tired of hearing I am sorry, if they were sorry they would fix the problem.

Cancer patient surgery. Code blue was issued. Patient next to me in O.R. died. Surgeons/staff giving CPR tossed equipment around. I was a patient in bed next to patient that died. Only shower curtain between us. Received a herniated disk from their carelessness. NEVER will go back to Bummer Health Care at University Medical Center Hospital in Tucson. Very careless ER staff.
