Went there to have my bandages changed, for my breast. The week before I had surgery in Edmonton for breast cancer. The doctor was very unprofessional wasn't wearing gloves, it was like he was afraid of my breast. The nurse came in never even cleaned the breast area. Slapped on a huge bandage going all the way down to my stomach. She said that was the only size of bandages they had. What a lying cow. Just to lazy to do her job. Very rude and ignorant staff. I will never go back to this hospital again. Very uncaring staff.
Very unpleasant and unprofessional place. My husband rushed me in due to symptoms of a stroke. Couldn't talk and lost feeling in my extremities. When I got my first observation the RN nurse Kerri told me to fake it better. They all left me alone in the room. The doctor yelled at me and called the cops on my husband because I couldn't talk and defend myself. They left the tube in my nose and doctor said to take it out myself, they allowed me to choke on my spit and didn't do nothing about it. The doctor had messed up my bladder with the catheter he was playing with which im pretty sure is sexual assault. I will never return to Lloyd hospital. Seems like they would rather sit at the nurses station to laugh and gossip about patients than to give them the proper care. The first thing u learn with anything in the health field is to treat ur patients with compassion. Make them feel like they are safe and will be okay. For me I felt scared for my life. I was alone and once I had people to talk for me they changed their whole attitude. I was ignored and walked out with bruises and a ruined bladder thanks to the doctor. If u need medical help please go somewhere else.
Patient sent home with less than an hour’s notice. Told handivan wouldn’t take him out of town and he must use ambulance. Phoned Lloyd handivan and handivan in his hometown. Both said they could take him but would need more than an hour to prep. Nurse at hospital was rude and unprofessional. Inexcusable treatment.
I would like to thank the emergency staff and doctor for the care and compassion given to me when I was taken into emergency by ambulance Tuesday night, March 19/19. A special bouquet to Kiley, the nurse working a 12 hour shift, who monitored and kept me comfortable throughout the night. Thank you all.
Quality of care issues! Saskatchewan doesn't care about funding or patient care since the hospital is in Lloyd. Good luck trying to access specialist care - can't get help from Sask nor Alberta. If you have something serious or complex get yourself to Saskatoon or Edmonton asap. I've seen this hospital run elderly patients into the ground and the quality of care between a real city hospital and Lloyd is shocking. Beware!
