Doctor repeatedly broke client confidentiality while standing at the nurses station relaying personal client health conditions. Reported to the hospital complaints department as well to the College of Physicians. I hope they connect with that doctors clients with the names I provided to inform them of the leak of there personal information due to this doctors negligence. Doctor also dismissed my health concerns and symptoms and in the same day went to a clinic who diagnosed me and assessed me properly as provided myself with a treatment plan.
I do not understand how a nurse in psychiatry can get away with being so aggressive to the most vulnerable pts i saw there in lock up unit at Oshawa emergency She instigated the arguments she had absolutely no compassion for the patients there it was horrible to watch really. I wish i got her name i would have reported her to college of nurses She should not be a nurse period she enjoyed abusing the power she had she enjoyed getting the pts upset then forcing them to go to the cell really they had and locked them in there. She was the problem not the fragile pts she was. I am sure the staff that worked with her were also embarrassed and bullied by her as well. I hope that someone speaks up and gets this nurse fired.
Poorly organized hospital, dirty, expensive to park at and very understaffed. It was immediately clear that patient care is driven by the cheapest possible alternative and aimed to kick you out as soon as possible, regardless of readiness! During my family member’s stay, I would visit the food court daily. The food court has very long waiting times and you either have to listen to loud boisterous students from the high school across the street or the same groups of people that sit talking, making disparaging comments about their work and derogatory comments about the people they are “stuck with, because of the union” How sickening to have to hear this negative and unprofessional talk during much needed breaks! Plus all the while wondering if the horrible things being said were about the people taking care of my loved one. I assumed by their comments they were supervisors and all I could think was, if those people don’t have faith in the people giving care, how are the patients and families supposed to? Once my family member was discharged, I took the opportunity to submit a complaint regarding my experiences, the response I received was nearly laughable! A bunch of BS that danced around the situation without addressing a single thing!
dirty hospital. i used a bathroom and the toilet seat that had just been cleaned was covered in blood. the nurses are rude. the doctors are unknowledgeable. so many people have been neglected and misdiagnosed here. if you can, go to another hospital - the extra driving might just save your life.
If I could give it a zero I would. Nurses are TERRIBLE! I don't know why they are even in the nursing profession. Emergency department is really bad, but I've had dealings in different parts of the hospital as well with the same results. With all these bad reviews you'd think someone would investigate, but maybe the CEO is just in it for the pay cheque as well.
When my daughter started her labour she went in with a fever and told the staff they did nothing no doctor came to see her they were actually going to send her home my daughter stated that she would not go home and when a nurse finally checked her she said omg you can't go home you are in labour. To make this short my daughters labour was long and she did not feel well. Baby was delivered on Thursday morning mom and baby went home Friday, Saturday morning I had to take my daughter to emerge with severe abdominal pain. They did blood work, urine sample and chest X-ray then we had to wait for two hours before a gynaecologist got there. He checked the results and said all was well, he refused to give her an antibiotic he said it would make her sick. She went home with a fever and major stomach pains. On Monday morning she went to urgent care where her family doctor was. He sent her for blood work and an ultra sound which he marked URGENT. The results came back indicating an abdominal infection and some fluid in her pelvis. She was immediately put on an Antbiotic. Thank God. Why did the emergency not notice this in her blood work. She kept telling everyone that something was wrong nobody listened. This is really scary. Something needs to be done. I can't express my thoughts just happy my daughter is starting to feel better one day at a time. It saddens me to think how bad things are with our medical system. I have lost trust in Lakeridge Health Oshawa Emergency Dept, and Maternity Ward.
On jan 8th I phoned for a ambulance for my mom, she had fever of 38.6 and was very sick and ended up in the ER for 3 day's till they found her a room on the 6th floor in the C wing under the care of DR. GEE that's where my NIGHT MARE began. My mom is 79 yrs old and i really believe that was her biggest problem they look at senors like they are disposable and a waste of pace.My mom had a severe UTI infection led to septic and delirium and bleeding from her bladder plus my mom is a diabetic and she is also an amputee one leg .I asked DR. GEE if he would run some test to is why she was still bleeding and he said no it 's from the catheter she was there for 9 days and they did nothing to really help my mom and she had still had nothing to eat' in my opinion they were just letting her DIE. Then on Jan. 19th they informed me they were discharging my mom and they sent her back home by ambulance she was no better at all she was still bleeding from her bladder and now she had diarrhea still sepic and very confused I asked DR.GEE not to send her home but needless to say that fell on deaf ears, and then he told me over the phone she may have a tumor in her bladder but they don'tknow if it is malignant or not, so i said keep her and find out for sure he said no again for me to do a follow up on my on I said to DR. GEE how am i to do that my mom is sepic still has delirium still bleeding from her bladder, diabetic and one leg how do you want me to get her to a doctors appointment DIDN'T CARE hung up the phone. So on jan the 20th she was still unresponsive jan 21 called for a ambulance again begged them not to take her back to oshawa lakeridge but they did here we go again.
