Acid Reflux

pretty sure I am dealing with acid reflux. There is a pain/discomfort in my upper chest, and it feels like I have a lump in my throat. Hurts to swallow and I am burping more than normal.

Any advice for me? I am thinking that there should be stuff I can do before I go to the doctor.

Hello,

Many years ago I suffered from Acid Reflux. The first thing I would do is change your diet. Do not eat acidic foods (tomatoes, onions, chocolate, tea, coffee, etc.) and drink a lot of water. I changed my diet for six months and it healed itself.

The most important thing is to make an appointment at an ENT so they can place a camera in your throat to see the severity of the acid reflux. If not treated this can be very serious.
If you take care of it early you will feel better.

Good luck

Another important thing is to make sure you don't lie down until your meal is done digesting. If you lay down it messes with digestion and can prolog the acid reflux or make it worse.
