The nurses here is real good. My medicine be on time and that's important. Yolanda, Carmen, Cierra, Amber, Debbie, and Roxanne are always friendly and make sue I get what I need. Some of the food is alright but some could be better. Debra and Rosie from housekeeping kept my room cleaned and talked to me while they was cleaning and made me feel just like I was family. Mary always stopped by to see me to say hi. There are friendly people in this hospital. I been here before and even though I don't like hospitals this one is a good one to be in. Maurice McAllister

As I lay here in my kindred hospital bed I have a greater respect for the staff .my blood pressure was very low at the beginning of the night and they kept a close eye on it by checking it very often. The staff truly caress if you were their own family. One of the staff members went out of her way to go And get me arts and crafts because she knew I enjoyed them and she knew I was going to need them for my length of stay . I don't want to leave.

I give Kindred St. Louis top ratings because my wife was cared for with loving kindness by professional and competent nurses. I couldn't visit very often because I live in a health facility. I called the nurses station to check on my wife several times a day and to give her messages because she was unable to talk on the phone. The nurses were always patient with me and they would go to my wife's room and give her my messages. The patient relations lady helped me talk to my wife by holding the phone for her so I could talk directly to her. She read my wife's lips and told me what she said. It is nice to know that there are hospital staff that care so much. I will recommend Kindred to others. Thank you, David

I give Kindred a 10 ++. My husband was there for about 2 months. He started out on a ventilator. First, he was weaned off the ventilator and then he was weaned from the trach. The trach was removed and my husband continued to improve. He went to a rehab center and continues to improve so he can come back home. While he was at Kindred, he always said everybody was friendly and that he liked the food. One day he told someone he wished he had Kentuky Fried Chicken and she went and got him some. They put a radio in his room so he could listen to the ball games and music. He even danced in his wheelchair. The Case Manager and Patient Relations Representative visited my husband and kept me informed of my husbands progress when I wasn't able to visit. The nursing staff called me when there were any changes in care. I was really nervous about my husband going to Kindred, but he received excellent care and I will recommend Kindred to anybody who needs to be in a long term care hospital. Thank you, Mrs. R.

I was only at Kindred for a week because I moved to a place closer to my son. During my stay the staff were courteous and caring. The physical and occupational therapists, Derek, Amy and Linda helped get me back on my feet and helped me with my shower. Katie was my favorite nurse. She explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable. Dusty in the dietary department too my food orders every day and the food was good ( for hospital food). Thanks for the good care. I can't thank the staff of Kindred St. Louis enough for the great care my husband received. He still has a long way to go, but he is going home with home care to continue healing. Thanks to Love, the Nurse Supervisor, and Eliza, the Nurse Manager for working with me to resolve any issues that came up. The Dir. Of Casemanagement, Debbie Edwards arranged all the equipment needed so my husband could come home and Roxan, in Patient Relations visited often and was always able to get my husband to smile and try to talk. I will recommend this hospital to others needing specialized hospital care. Thank you, F. L.

I just want to say thank you to all the staff at Kindred St. Louis. It was a rough start, but all of my concerns were addressesd and resolved. The food was pretty good because you could order several things so they always had something you liked.. I recommend this hospital if you need an extended hospital stay.

My name is Todd Van Amburg and My wife was a patient at Kindred Hospital Saint Louis. The nurses, aides, therapists, dietary staff and housekeepers were all professional and caring. Debbie, the Dir. Of Case management helped get my wife the tests she needed, scheduled her follow up doctor appointments and arranged home care. Roxana, the patient advocate visited my wife frequently and kept her supplied with gum and fruit snacks. My wife has been in the hospital and this was one of her best experiences. I've been here since May 4th. All the nurses and CNA's are friendly, helpful and they are taking good care of me. My Case Manager, Debbie, she "my girl". She is on top of things and is helping me with my goal of going to Rehab. Therapy staff are helping me to get stronger and back on my feet. The dietary staff come and take my order every day. They try to fix me food that I like. Curtis is especially helpful. He goes out of his way to help me. Roxana is cool! She spends time with me, letting me express life's frustrations and just listens to me. She takes me outside and brings me things to do to help pass the time. I recommend Kindred St. Louis.
