This hospital is the most unprofessional I've ever been to. I've had severe medical issues since I was 13 years old being hospitalized for weeks at a time. Every time I've ever gone into this hospital, there has always been a lack of professionalism. Being in the er, nurses have claimed I'm pregnant (due to vomitting) and being certain of it, only to find I am in fact not pregnant at all. Only a test could accurately state that I was which always came up negative. I have been given ivs that infiltrated and we're going into my tissue instead of my vein for hours at a time on multiple occasions even after stating I knew something wasn't right, they left the iv in insisting I was wrong. In one case I came in with a potassium level of 4.0 and due to vomitting & not having a proper iv my level went down to 1.3 (a deadly level) and I went into convulsions. I've never had issues with convulsions in my life even with current medical issues. I was told by the doctor that I had a medical condition that causes convulsions that I was never aware of instead of taking blame for the iv that was improperly placed and caused me to lose pottasium at an alarming rate. My iv would have given me the pottasium needed to eliminate a code blue convulsion if they in fact did their job in the 1st place. I later confirmed this with several other doctors at the mayo clinic. I also caught c-diff on one occasion in this hospital from a poorly cleaned room. The doctors had to wear full body suits when entering my room and never apologized for the fact that I did not come in to the hospital with c-diff in the 1st place. I wouldn't return to this hospital if I was dying and that should show how upset I am with their overall unprofessionalism and constant lack of knowledge in the medical field. I always had to tell them what needed to be done as I've dealt with this issue for over 15 years and they wrote me off every time as if they knew I was pregnant or had some disorder I knew and was confirmed later to not have. To add further, At one point in the icu, I had a nurse on her cell phone come into my room and turn my heart monitor on silent because it was too loud for her. Mind you, my heart was being monitored for a reason as I had been air vacced previously because my heart rate went to 18 beats per second. DONT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
