This is a disgrace for a children's hospital the lack of knowledge from the nurses and doctors is pathetic. My little boy was here for almost a week from jaundice. It could of been prevent from the start instead it was dragged out till he needed to be put in a incubator . I could of prevented it if I did my research in the Start.jaundice is easy to clean out if your baby keeps and a good feeding through out the day wether it's formula or breast .the doctor told us to lay off on the formula and try to stick with breast feeding evben though they new he had high counts of jaundice . After day 3 I started to do my research and figured out the only way to lower the jaundice counts is for the baby to constantly go to the bathroom to help clean his system out. After day 3 when they said it's still climbing I told them I'm adding the formula to his diet again. The moms milk was not high enough to fully feed out little man. To have regular pee and poo . So now he has been in an incubator for 24 hours this fucing place does not even have the right equipment to protect his eyes from the lighting . The nurses even said the same this we're sorry but this is all we have. I check online once again and there ls 100s of different types so of course this hospitial had the cheapest as possible so what does my $270 a night pay for ? That should of only been here 2 nights now a week. have a child is supposed to be the best few days of your life this disgraceful hospital has made it pretty rough few days of our lives watching our baby cry for 16 hours of the day and nothing we could do.and this hospital is only
Set up for the mother to stay comfortable here nothing for the dad at all so my entire week here I have slept 15 hours just so the mom can get her well deserved rest. How is it that an automotive painter has more experience figuring out what to do they the actual employees of mc master children's hospital ?

I had worse experience ever after having my baby this hospital is good when there is no complications but when there is problems no person with experience appears till you have to fight to get the help. I think Canada has big problems with how to keep good Dr.s this needs to get fixed all over the country not just McMaster kids hospital

Amazing! Our daughter was referred to McMaster and subsequently diagnosed with Craniosynostosis (premature fusion of a part of her skull) at 6 months. At almost 8 months she had skull surgery and a short stay at the hospital. That was almost a year ago. We have never in our lives had more confidence or comfort in a hospital or doctors. What was the worst day of our lives, we were met with patience, kindness and empathy. We never came across one staff member that made us feel concerned or unwelcome. The doctors, nurses, and all the support staff (from cleaning staff to reception) were amazing. The follow up care we have received has continued to impress us and we would recommend this hospital to anyone. After all of this and at the age of 19 months, our daughter is genuinely happy to see her Dr for follow up appts and to us, McMaster is a place of comfort.

This hospital needs serious attention and real Dr.
My daughter got admitted Friday from and xray that showed she had phenomia. The Drs plays games they don't tell you exactly what's going on. Every Dr came in had some thing different to say and most of them are mc master students in traning . As quick as your in they want you out. From one xray days pass and they are still talking about it and not doing any new testing to see if she is recovering better. These students should no be giving medical advice because they are not qualified. Sorry to say. One nurse was really nice. The front desk receptionist are giving medical advice as well this hospital is very unorganized. The dr that discharge my daughter never saw him before but based on an xray days ago he decided she can leave. Crazyness! My child did not get time to heal properly. Call me crazy but Jesus is my daughter only hope for healing...... never again. They told me send my sick child to school and I asked what if other kids get sick they said then let the other kids get sick how cruel and this is a hospital????..... they don't listen to you. They are all unprofessional and out of order. THIS CHILDREN HOSPITAL NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED!!!!!!!

The nurses working at this hospital are amazing. I have never met one who was not extremely friendly and I have been here many times, twice to give birth and several times after with my children. The doctors are very knowledgeable and proactive in most cases. I wouldn't take my children to any other hospital so long as McMaster is an option.

I'm not sure where all the complaining is coming from in the other reviews. My wife and I have been here multiple times over the last few weeks with complications from her pregnancy and they have been amazing.

The hospitals like Sick Kids, McMaster and the cancer Hospitals are one of the biggest scams of the century. Its a huge business that provides very limited service and very primitive dangerous knowledge. Maybe it's done on purpose to spin the giant money wheel forever. Their cure rate of serious diseases is as good as winning a lottery. If you want tests done forget it their guess is a gold standard for them. Even if you want to pay for tests it will not happen the nurse said it's Canada! They leave you to die or they give you dangerous drugs so they can make money on them and slowly kill you.

The hospital is very dirty. When we had our baby there blood was all over the floors and the ceiling and on the lamps. They put the new diaper on the dirty floor and then picked it up and put it on my baby. The cleaning lady came into the room and I told her the sink is plugged up and its all bubbling. The cleaning lady took a dirty rag cleaned the dirty sink and then went and cleaned the whole room with the same rag. Even the computer and the keyboard. I think my baby gotten something from the hospital and broke out in rashes. I made 10 different visits to McMaster, Sick Kids hospital and few specialists and they have not did any tests that I wanted. His condition is getting worse and I feel very helpless after 10 months. The doctors are very limited and complacent in their knowledge guessing all the time without isolating different things by different tests. They just want to give him vaccines, steroids and more drugs. This is all without giving the baby any tests. The level of knowledge is very primitive I don't know where they get these so called experts. I don't know any profession where you can be wrong most of the time and still keep your job. If there was a 10 year old girl there as a doctor and if I asked her to do the tests I wanted it would be much better than these incompetent doctors. It is very scary that they don't have much knowledge.
