Had a wonderful experience at this hospital. The staff are very attentive and they seemed to care.

This is a hospital that is far more concerned with money than with people. My father is under their "care" and is constantly being shuffled around as they try to lower their costs. It is virtually impossible to get any staff member, on any floor, to stop and answer your questions. There is no discussion with anyone - even upon admittance, the best we got was an envelope of papers so we could read for ourselves. Oh, and a whiteboard. You can write all of your important questions on the whiteboard and cross your fingers waiting for any kind of response. If your loved one has to be moved - maybe they tell you, maybe they don't. Either way, they're probably wrong about the move itself or the floor or the timing. The staff is frequently gathered together talking amongst themselves, while you apparently gain the power of invisibility. They don't have time for the patients or their families. And the 5th floor - looks like something you'd expect in a third world country. Horrific. Heartbreaking to leave a family member under the care of people who so obviously do NOT care.

I had a severe case of thyroid storm, the nurses didn't really give a f**k, they just sorta diagnosed, and says your fine, doctors don't see anyone, or does reports for a long time. It's a great hospital to be at if you want to slowly suffer, or maybe die, thank goodness I was transferred to HSC for further diagnosis.

I had had a stroke in my sleep without knowing it, explained all symptoms, was sent home with T3s "pinched nerve" went home with mom(RN) who gave me aspirin not long after taken to St. Boniface and was told I suffered a stroke. If mom hadn't given me aspirin I would not have been alive today.

Horrible horrible experience don't even have words to explained it. Happened to me three times. First when I was pregnant and had a miscarriage I have to wait out side in the waiting area for 6 hours because they needed a special bed which was not empty. Emergency department in Vitoria hospital is the worst place to go if you are not dying. After they take you inside no doctor or anyone come and see you for more than an hour an half.

I had day surgery in April 2016 and it was great. All the staff were top notch and quickly helped me calm anxiety and answer any questions that I had. They were not in a rush to kick me out the door and made sure that I was ready to go. The pre-op (anesthetic) clinic was also top notch, they took the time to take a proper medical history and answered all the questions that I had. I didn't feel rushed and they did everything to make sure I was comfortable with both methods proposed (general anesthetic or a spinal).

No words to express my horrible experience. Go to another hospital. Just to give an idea 3 patients in emergency about 15 personnel having a good time around 2 in the morning including the doctor. I was discharged after 4 hours with no diagnosis with the excuse they need the bed and there were a lot of empty beds when I left. The doctor didn't care about me as a patient, didn't know his job and he wasn't even compassionate.

Recently got admitted for surgery on feb 16,2016. Staff and some nurses were very friendly. when it came time to go to the washroom the nurses seemed to disappear and then another nurse would show up to help you 10 minutes later. some of the nurses are very hard to understand (language barrier).. The food was horrible and the room was really hot. I had to ask for a fan.
