My mother spend two months there before she passed. A few of the staff on the fourth floor S were very caring and helpful. Although I think we should of had more access to help with our concerns. They were always to busy. Which we tried to deal with. Just would have nice talk to some about our fears and concerns.

It took me 4 different trips to victory for the same thing. I had a problem with my kidney with really bad pain & each time they sent me home. The last dr. told me they had to get rid of my pain so he prescribed me 2 extra strength Tylenol 4 times a day plus I was to take morphine. Think he was trying to kill me so I wouldn't come back of course I didn't do it because I know it would hard on my kidney & I did want to live that is why I came to emerg. The last time I was ther finally I got to see a dr. who could see I was actually really sick & that my kidney was infected because of kidney problem . Got surgery to fix it thank God. I don't like to go to emerg because they treat you like you are there for a social call. I assure you most people are coming because they are very sick & the emerg needs to get serious about what they are there for

Just had surgery here in May and all of the nurses, techs, health care aids and doctors were the best I have ever had and I was treated wonderfully, not a single complaint.

All about money and not enough about saving lives and making people better. You're a statistic and not a person. Horrible people skills in general from management on down. Don't come here if you can avoid it.

I was in a car accident back in December. I was T-boned by another car and was taken to Victoria General Hospital. I got into the hospital around 10:00pm that night and waited until 8:00am to get check out by the doctor then until 9:00am to get stitches. It was just dreadful waiting. People who had walked in complained about stomach pains got to go in before patients with bloody faces and knees. Absolutely horrifying.

Was in for a routine septoplasty. I found to nurses to be caring, kind and professional. Nurse Teri was my nurse and she was great! Quick to offer help even though she was busy with other patients. She would always check and see how I was doing. I always appreciate a good R.N. They deal with a lot of rude people in their care, I try to do whatever I can to make their job as easy as I can. They are a special breed for sure.

The great nurses, support staff, clinicians, and doctors of floor 6 saved my life! For most it is not a job; it is a true calling! But please fix those beds, if you have already, GREAT! I never would have thought that I would have fond memories of a psych ward; but I do!! 🙆😃☺

To have to wait 5 1/2 hours is absolutely absurd! Was in a head on collision, brought in by ambulance, couldn't walk and had to wait that long. Finally seen by Dr. Seuss who only talked to me and checked my pulse. No examination for broken bones or fractures and no examination of pain in chest. Told that I would be in a lot of pain for a very long time. That's it!! No recommendation to see my own physician, no pain management, no X-rays, nothing!! Useless, absolutely useless! Don't waste your time going to Victoria Emergency. Go to see your own doctor ASAP or go to a walk in clinic if you can. I should have gone home to rest and recover from the shock instead of sitting in a room full of stressed out patients who were also waiting for up to 12 hours. I saw my own physician the next day who took the car accident injury seriously and took good care of me. X-rays, medication and physio were necessary not "you're going to be in pain for a long time"!!! Victoria Emergency is a joke.

I was in a rollover accident where my vehicle flipped 4 times and landed hard on the roof, we were taken to Victoria hospital and we waited 6 hours to be looked at for 2 minutes. We were told we were fine.... The next day we got a second opinion due to our pain level & because I'm 4 months pregnant And we were worried about our baby .... Then we find out everything's not ok. Such a disappointment and it's very frustrating
