I had depression and didn't feel like I was taken seriously by Dr Axford. She frequently talked over me and at times I felt that she spoke more than I did during our sessions. I understand that most psychological methods avoid talking about the past, but I didn't feel I was given a chance to explore the things that were really bothering me. I was suicidal but this wasn't picked up although I mentioned it once and hinted at other times. She encourages the use of CBT and was open to exploring other options and hearing about other things I'd read about, but I would've preferred someone with more sensitivity. She acted more like a lawyer than a psychologist (wants you to get to the point, interjects frequently with opinions). She kindly does house calls, but is terrible at responding to emails.
