Ratings for Dr. Richa Rastogi
I was very pleased with Dr Rastogi who was extremely compassionate and is a good listener . She is very caring and empathetic and I hold a lot of respect for her . She helped me through my journey of depression and was always available and gave me hoe for future . I would highly recommend her given her knowledge and her good people skills
Rude, rude, rude First of all she was 15 minutes late in starting my appointment, which for a first up Saturday morning time slot I felt was rude and I got no apology, and seeing it was my first initial consultation was quite unsettling. A short way into the session Dr R Rastogi answered a phone call, and begun to talk to a GP about another patient and their issues, all the while in front of me and not once excusing herself. She continued on to laugh with the caller and then discuss how she didn’t sleep well that night and that she was working early because she had to do a talk later that afternoon..... really. When I challenged her about her rudeness and unprofessionalism she went on to defend herself and how she had to take the call.
Assumed that i would be late because i was late before. Waited in the lobby for an hour because of this assumption. Prescribed me medication and i asked what were the negative/potential side effects and she kept insisting that the drugs have no side effects. She then contradicted herself later in the conversation and subtly said that the drugs will cause nausea and insomnia for the first few weeks. Terrible psychiatrist. Extremely unethical in her practice for lying about the medicine. She barely listened to what was wrong with me and just wanted to prescribe whatever drug she thought was correct at the time of assumption. i had to actually force her to listen about how the drugs affected me and she would change her mind of what drug to give me from her initial assumption. I told her that i had trouble sleeping and she prescribed me an anti psychotic. I read up on this anti psychotic called seroquel and it has extreme negative long term effects and she had the nerve to say there were no side effects. She should get reported. People go to see her thinking that she is responsible for their mental health and she could be doing more damage to people.
Rude reception staff to start. Was late for appointments, made judgemental assumptions of my family and history the whole time which made me feel worse when already in a bad state. Then gave medication innappropriate to my medical history. Please find a different doctor, this one is not good.
Doctor why do you page to see patients in hospital when you know they have gone down for dinner. It shows a lack of compassion and humanity on your part. YOU have decided to arrive on the ward randomly, are in a rush to go home... Please make the time to give the time to the patients that you bill for. How do you even have time to think. Steer clear my fellow sufferers.
took my best friend off his ADHD medication, and then told him that he cannot get rehab treatment for his opiate addiction and he belongs in jail. refuses to prescribe him any medications to help his condition besides ones endorsed by big pharma companies. disgusting feedback about this doctor, and she should be ashamed of herself for her barbaric treatment of a wonderful person.
Awful experience. Rushed due to doctor running late. Did not listen properly. Sat and typed on laptop for whole session. Same questions asked repeatedly because of typing and not listening. Medication first line to treatment and very insistent that it is the only option. No treatment or management plan offered other than medications. No discussion or demonstration of evidence based practice. Did not like being questioned. Contradicted herself when questioned with regard to medication safety, side effects and how drug actually works. Too quick to "diagnose". In a rushed consult following a series of quick fired questions, the diagnosis was made, the prescription written and patient out the door. No management plan or follow-up suggested. Nothing suggested for the period in between the time of starting the medication and when it starts to take effect - 12 weeks ?? Outrageous practice for a medical professional in a speciality that is so dependant on the assessment, correct diagnosis and long term management being safely and properly done so that the patient outcome is good.
Awful, awful doctor with terrible and incompetent practices. Messes with your head, over medicates, breaches confidentiality. Ignores your actual needs and goes by hers instead.
