Ratings for Dr. Parisa Airia
Dr. Crawley and Vivian were much more responsible and organized. Dr. Airia ‘s care was passive and lacked the attention and care that Dr. Crawley had provided. Not to mention the lengthy wait times for test resaults and appointment bookings.
Her secretary was rude and left confidential information out for all patients to see. Dr. Airia was almost an hour late for my appointment and gave no knowledgeable information to me regarding my concerns. During my examination, the secretary walked into the room (while I was undressed and being examined) and then started laughing. Instead of speaking with me behind the closed door, Dr. Airia opened the door and dpoje of personal medical information that all patients in the waiting room could hear. Dr. Airia and her staff are extremely unprofessional to to say the least.
Parisa has poor time management. Does not respond in a decent amount of time, and waiting for her at your appointments is ridiculous- 45 minute wait. She took over Dr. Crawley's office, who was quick at responding and would see patients within 10 minutes of arrival. She definitely does not come close to Dr. Crawley at all as a doctor. I dont believe she should have her own office
The doctor is very rude and arrogant. My medical records have not been read. I did not receive any comments or overview about my test results. The doctor failed to find me the rehabilitation specialist for my injured spine. The receptionist is very rude, misleading and does not respond to voicemails. The working schedule is misleading. The doctor refused to give me my medical records. Finally, it got clear I am not a registered patient at her clinic. My be in Roncesvalles location she works illegally? Just a total mess. No stars, but system does not allow to upload otherwise.
Me and my family love Dr Airia and truely trust her. She would spend extra time with us when we need her. She is always patient and a good listener. She is very easy to connect with and from my 25 year old daughter to my 75 year old father, we all feel comfortable with her. She is very sensitive to our feelings and I have actually heard the phrase "your cervix is playing hide and seek" that the other person below referred to when she was trying to make a painful experience easier for my daughter who had a more difficult first pap. My daughter actually said it as a joke. She has accommodated us on the same day for our urgent needs. Of course we waited longer but still were appreciative of being seen same day. We also love her assistant Glenis. She is very nice and accommodating and has been wonderful carrying our messages and concerns to Dr Airia in a timely manner and rearrange our referrals to the specialists of our choice. Highly recommended and referred her to all my friends.
(Note: At High Park/Roncesvalles location in Toronto) Dr. Airia works 12-15 hours a week and doesn't seem to leave any availability for same-day appointments (no I don't want an appointment a week from Thursday for my UTI...) so I've ended up going to the walk-in up the street on numerous occasions -- what's the point in having a family doctor you can't ever get in to see? When I had to go for a follow-up pap test and Dr. Airia was rushed, rude and told me in an accusatory tone that my "cervix was hiding" (sorry? I'll try to work on that?). It was a really uncomfortable experience. And now this: The office hours changed and the appointment I'd booked 6 weeks earlier was now outside the new hours. The receptionist called me the day of the appointment, only 2 hours before, to reschedule (I only learned of the office hour change when I returned the voicemail). Unless the change in office hours were a total last minute surprise, I don't consider this to be acceptable. Why not adjust booking times weeks before your anticipated change in hours? It would be easier to accept and move on if the receptionist was at all apologetic or sympathetic, but she's rude.
I have been with Dr Airia since her previous practice at Reflex and now her new practice at High Park area in Toronto. What made me to go all the way from Mississauga to her new address in Toronto is her caring and kind attitude toward myself and my family. She is very knowledgable and knows how to run a family practice. Her office assistant is very polite and quick in reponding my telephone messages. It doesn't take long wait to see her. I am very pleased with Dr Airia's patient care.
