Ratings for Dr. Mohamed Mamdouh Hussein
Very patient and thorough. We left feeling like we received great care and feel more hopeful now than we did before. He answered our questions and explained what he was ordering in a way that I could understand. My husband feels more reassured and less stressed now. His receptionist was really sweet and a pleasure to talk to.
This guy has no clue what he's doing. He's arrogant and thinks he's the best. He won't give you a referral to see a specialist for a second opinion. Basically he said that we were not allowed a second opinion as long as our family member is being treated in Langley memorial. Someone should explain the BC health laws to him. One of the medications he prescribed our family member almost killed them. It caused a bacteria to grow that causes a life threatening infection. Had we not taken our family member to another hospital in time, it would've been fatal. Never want to see him again!
Dr Hussein was able to have my diagnosis and treatment in a very reasonable amount of time. Even though I was scared and stressed, he explained it all and answered all my questions that I had at the time. I know if I have further concerns and questions that he will be there to help me. I am very please with the care I received.
Dr. Hussein saw me for a seizure/syncopol episode. He gave medication for it that has drastically negatively affected my life and would not help to change the medication. He said I have epilepsy right away and would not look for any other options as I have been told many different things. He was rude, unprofessional and not empathetic. I waited for over an hour after my schedules appointment. When he finally got there he was on the phone with his family most of the time for our visit. He was quick to force me out of the door and not listen to any of my concerns. I am now on a long waiting list to find out whats wrong with me because I do not want to deal with someone like that.
It was a relief to be heard and taken seriously. I'm grateful for his quick actions and once all the new testing and evaluations are done I may have another opinion. However, after two appointments and very attentive follow up, I'm hopeful. And his receptionist is absolutely lovely.
I met this doctor twice in March and at the end of April 2017. In-between I had nerve tests for numbness on my left foot at the Abbotsford Memorial Hospital. At the first visit, he told me "Everything looks good based on your blood test, you don't have diabetes or cholesterol which could cause this numbness, just a lack of vitamin B12. Take the vitamin B12 and it will be better" I took vitamin B12 for several months now, no better results. After the nerve tests I had in April 2017 at the Abbotsford Memorial Hospital, he had the results and told me everything was fine, tests states that I have nothing wrong in my left foot - BUT THE NUMBNESS INCREASES MORE AND MORE - but no, everything is fine! What a joke! I searched myself on the Internet (because I tend to rely less and less on doctor's results now...) What I have is a MORTON'S NEUROMA PAIN! Thank you Dr. Hussein for having telling me everything was fine. Dr. Hussein, you are incompetent. Period.
After over 1 1/2 years of pain and suffering, and the failure of another neurologist to even acknowledge there was something wrong, Dr. Hussein was the one to finally get to the bottom of what the issue is. While he seemed very knowledgeable, we did question why he was sending me for an MRI on only one section of my spine, and not the whole thing. Thankfully, he had no problem amending his request, as the problem turned out to be in my neck and not the thoracic region he was originally only going to look at. He is a very nice man, answered all questions, and never made us feel rushed. Perhaps that's why he was always tardy when I had my appointments? :)
