Ratings for Dr. Michel Beausoleil
What can I say that hasn't already been said below. Aside from the usual "I'm a doctor and better than you" attitude? I was 18 minutes late for my appointment (1:30 approximately) which is my fault and I understand that but refusing to see me because of it? Even though I offered to sit there for the rest of the day just incase someone was a no show? He wouldn't let me do that which I think is very unreasonable. As far as I'm concerned? If I wait 5 hours and he can't fit me in? That's okay but to tell me to go home because he's very busy and there's no way he can squeeze me in? That's quite unfair. Maybe your experience will be different than mine, I surely hope so. Thank You
This Physician is your typical know it all and doesn't listen. Just like what someone already said in an earlier comment. Of course we are patients (Laypersons so to speak) and didn't go to medical school but that doesn't mean we aren't informed about our ailment. My opinions and suggestions by prior physicians were duely noted but that was the extent of it. One of, if not the worst "Know it all" I have come across in my 50 or so years dealing with doctors. This is just my opinion but save yourself the frustration of not being listened too, bypass this guy and find a doctor who cares....
I had this Doctor for 1 1/2 years and I found him to be very knowledgeable. That's great but a computer with Google can tell me the same. He heard what my issues were as instated them clearly many times but he never actually listened. In my opinion? Whatever the textbook said about whatever issue I was having? That Trump's whatever I said or was suggested by other doctors at other points in my life. I was a chronic pain patient and the bottom line was this... A decade of spotless opioid use with not a single complaint. What drug or the dosage doesn't matter but this was his Bottom line? Lower, Lower and Lower the dose... Until he lowered it so low? I had to find another doctor who would actually listen to me. I understand opiates are problematic but this guy? On a 30 day prescription? Wouldn't release my regular until I ran out of pills. So the next morning? When I woke up with nothing in my system? I had to take the bus to get the refill before the withdrawal starts to kick in... Not even 1 days grace period which is absolutely ridiculous. My current physician? On a 30 day prescription? He makes it available on the 28th so you don't run out. No matter what I asked of this Doctor? Most importantly 1 day grace period so I don't have to run out and then play "Beat the Clock" and take bus to bus to bus to get my pills before I get sick. To sum it up? Nice guy, but no experience to draw from. Goes by whatever the book says and doesn't actually listen. Oh he hears you, he just doesn't think our regular persons point of view means anything... If you can? Find someone else. Oh, one quick comment on their 48hr appointment policy. You can't call for appointments longer than 48hrs away. So if your calling on Monday to book for Friday? They will tell you to call back Wednesday... This happened to me but when I called Wednesday to make the Friday appointment, do you know what they said? "Oh he's gone on vacation for a week..." Great! So, now on top of the lower, lower, lower dose that barely works and the wait until you run out... Then run to the pharmacy the next day. He went on vacation without telling his chronic pain patient (Taking very powerful opioid pain killers that you cannot run out of....) So once again, an incompetent Doctor leaves a patient (Me, why me..) without a refill. Totally irresponsible and would warrent an official complaint for sure.... My last comment? Stay away from this guy, he's above us and doesn't care what we have to say.... Find someone who does and cares.... Tyler Durden
The staff is somewhat nice, but this Dr needs to learn more about courtesy, respecting patients and especially about making a proper differential diagnosis. His deriding and "know it all" approach, as well as his prominent impatience made me understand pretty quickly he is a lousy physician and I won't ever never recommend him to anybody, even to my worst enemy
I met with Dr. Beausoleil today & he definitely knows his stuff. He's very compassionate and understanding. Most of all he is very thorough when it comes to a patients overall health. The staff is very friendly & the nursing assistant was gentle and kind. I am happy to have obtained him as my new family physician & I would recommend anyone looking for a new family doctor to give him a chance.
