Ratings for Dr. Yim H. Chan
Horrible psychiatrist. I finally got out of his clutches after almost 2 years of struggling to find a psychiatrist in San Francisco. Rude, impatient and only cares about the money. Does not return calls or show up to office in time. I even saw him dashing off to his car (parked on the street) when we had an appointment and he never returned back to the office. No staff -- only him to deal with. Also works for the City and overflows his small office space with people waiting with same appointment times then rushes you out the door. Just awful for this profession with no compassion.
does not monitor your meds or give blood draws, just asks the basic questions every time. Does not know how to answer simple questions about health issues when you actually asks him. Gives you several minutes, does not come out to greet you, make you wait outside his door indefinitely. Gives you dangerous dosages of medications when you do not have any symptoms and he is a psychiatrist. He always end with "any questions?". And he Actually ordered the same meds you took BEFORE you went into a hospital AFTER you came back. Openly tells you how he dislikes paperwork. We all pay sales taxes in San Francisco, and he works for the city and county of S.F.
