I have had Dr. Evans for 20 yrs and have never had him get angry with me nor raise his voice to me. His 'ole' nurses he used to have were the greatest. I only know of one this is still with him. This new set of nurses, I do not like. He tells me I do not need an appointment, the new nurses say I do need an appointment. The MCHD has changed so much for the worse. This thing about calling the day BEFORE you need to make an appointment is for the birds. I know other offices always make appointments ahead of time and it doesn't seem to deter the patients "QUOTA" away from the doctors. They still get paid! The schedulers also need to learn how to schedule the appointments. The Health Dept is mostly the one to blame. When they did the additions, they changed everything. We need a new Health Dept Director! One who is experienced in running the Health Dept like a regular doctor's office. So don't go blaming Dr. Evans for everything. He has to follow guidelines too, probably even against his principals if he wants to continue working.

On more than one occasion, Dr. Evans humiliated me in his office. I even threatened to call an attorney. He tried to be nice after that but it was too little too late. I also witnessed him doing the same thing to other patients and his staff. I have to say that I would rather do without medical care than have to see that man again. What a jerk!!

Dr. Evans And most of the staff in the health department were extremely rude. All i needed was some x-rays. Just some x-rays.Got them after some extended stress and told to come back in a couple days. Next thing i know i am giving blood and urine. I was not in there for those things and i have a needle phobia. Told the nurse and she replied in very harsh tone and did not seem to care much. Now i have a long bruise where she stuck the needle at, again was told i would have to come back the following day for my x-rays and now lab work. I showed up the next day and the nurses got rude yet again for me not making a appointment after i had already waited over an hour just to hear that. Plus was told i would have to wait an additional hour. The doctor obviously left after me arriving, seeing him and being to to wait in the lobby. I got mad and got kicked out the place. I am homeless so maybe that is why i got treated the way i was. It dose not matter not use to getting treated well anyway.

I waited in the exam room for about 1 1/2 hour. When he finally came in he was in the room with me less than 5 minutes so he only heard a small part of why I was there. When I told his nurse that I was also having issues with my foot he came back in the room and told me I had too many issues. I only went in for a foot problem and sinus problems. He has no bedside manners and his nurse is rude also. I will never go back to him. My door was cracked so while I sat in the exam room all this time he was talking to someone about a television series that "was off the chain" and how he and his wife went to the Grand Casino and it was 5 star all the way and how he only wears RL clothes. When you go to a doctor they should be focused on the patient and they should give you time to explain why you are there. Conversating is fine when you do not have patients waiting to be seen. He is very rude and is not focused on patient well-being.
