Ratings for Dr. Alan Casey
I was admitted to the HSC after a serious car accident a year and a half ago with quadriplegia, fractured vertebrae then transferred to the Rehab under Dr Casey's care. He was very helpful and still is getting me through tough times in rehab as my case was very complex. I find him to be very friendly, intelligent, understanding. I had spinal cord injury and had c-spine surgery - spinal decompression, and fusion with no mobility in my neck, hand dysfunction. Dr Casey gave me a steroid injection at the base of my skull to alleviate some of neck, headache pain etc. He takes time to listen to my pain complaints and tries his best to help alleviate some of the pain caused by my injury. He offers encouragement to be as independent as possible. Thanks Dr Casey for being so caring and helpful.
F a n t a s t i c !! Within a 1 hour visit (first time) I left free of pain and gained my mobility back. I suffered for 17 months and really questioned my future however as stated NO MORE PAIN and MOBILTY recovered. Highly recommended. The comfort zone in regards to patient / doctor relationship was very comfortable. Easy to talk with and after his assessment he laid out my options and walked out - No jumped Out - with no pain and a smile on my face.
Fantastic Doctor. I am quadriplegic and he has helped me go a long way, as well as push me to be more independent and active. Made me see the difference in how to help myself and research rather than depend on things that are not a forsure option. He has provided referrals for things I need and information I inquire about. Best Doctor I have had since my accident!
My son is 3 and sees Dr Casey. Dr Casey is great with kids, he is very friendly, is very knowledgeable and has a special way with making a kid feel less afraid. He interacts in a way with kids that shows that he cares about them, and I think that goes a long way in helping young children trust him. Highly recommend Dr Casey.
Referred to Dr Casey from other specialists who were unable to diagnose my long term health issues. Although Dr. Casey's specialty is pain management, he was able to diagnose my main health problems and correct the improper medication I was on for years. He is highly intelligent and personable and willing to work with you. One of the best doctors I've ever had.
I have CP. I was born with it and I have been to another doctor before Dr. Casey, he did surgery after surgery which helped but when I met Dr. Casey, he introduced botox injections to help my CP and it honestly has helped very much, he is a great doctor for the brief period I have met him. His methods in my opinion have helped a lot more with stability and in my eyes I like it that way. I was not a big fan of surgeries when I did have to receive them, which is why I like Dr. Casey's idea with the botox. If I had to choose, I would take botox over surgery any day, but the surgeries did help.
I had herniated two discs and bulged out another one as well as Degenerative disc disease. It took a long time to see him but, the wait was well worth it. He is a very knowledgeable physician. He takes the time to listen to my complaints and offers different types of treatment. I think some people expect the doctor to coddle them. He doesn't have time for that, he is straightforward. He is a very busy person.I see him regularly for treatments every 3 - 4 months.
I saw Dr Casey after having a disk hemorrhage which caused nerve damage, removed. Due to the nerve damage I have anumber of issues walking and sensations in my lover body. After surgery I was moved over to the rehab hospital under his care. I find his humour is a little off as some seem to find it, but he is really straight forward and does not beat around the bush. I don't have issues with seeing him for appointments as they are just follow up from the rehab stint and so far are an acceptable waiting time. I have had a few questions for him which he seemed glad to answer. I appreciate having him available.
Dr Casey is the first pain specialist I've seen who actually listened to my history and didn't look at me like I was drug seeking. He took the time to ask questions and didn't make me feel like I had to rush so he could get to his next patient. He made me feel like my pain is real, and that no matter how much time it takes, we'll figure out what it is together.
