My experience with this doctrine is the worst nightmare in my life. I had rinoplasty done 4 years ago. On the day of the surgery when I was on the surgical bed he gave me to sign pice of paper which under the surcomstances I couldn't read was my consent to perform other surgeris on me also. Latter I received bills from wayne surgical center for 32000 dollars. I called the doctors office and they promised they will take care of it. 4 years after my depth is placed with colection agency. He also billed my insurance for procedures he never performed in his office and got paid for it. Do yourself a big favor stay away from him. He is nothing but hungry for money, he will charm you with his talk but he is fake, until you put your signature. You might think that he is the best, you have seen him on TV with celebrities but there are many other doctors that are even better than him and they are honest.
Dr Kassir has met my exceptions and more! I had an open rhinoplasty about 6 months ago and I am beyond pleased with the results. For many years, I have been extremely self conscious of my side profile due to the large hump I had. For as long as I can remember, rhinoplasty has been something I have always wanted to get done but was too nervous to do so! About a year ago, I heavily started researching doctors and the topic itself and continued to go back and forth with decision of getting this surgery done. It wasn't until I met with Dr. Kassir at my consultation that all my fears went away and I knew I wanted to have a rhinoplasty done by him. Dr. Kassir made me feel confident and worry free as I knew he was the perfect person to do this surgery. Dr. Kassir is a true artist that takes time to get to know each patients wants and needs for their procedures while delivering natural and perfect results. Not only is Dr. Kassir very talented at his work, his humble and welcoming personality is just another bonus! If you are thinking about having a rhinoplasty, I highly recommend Dr. Kassir as he is definitely the best in the NJ/NY area!
I went in for a consultation for a revision rhinoplasty. The office was beautiful and I did not wait long. I went in and a very nice gentleman took pictures of my nose. Then I went in for my consultation. At first I met with a woman who is head of scheduling the surgeries and handles the payment. As soon as I walked in she commented on how bad my nose was. She said it was way too pointy and made me feel even more insecure than I already was. I didn't think my nose was that bad since I had a previous rhinoplasty. Even the doctor who took my photos said his bad my nose was. It made me feel horrible. The doctor came in and he was very nice. He addressed my problem quick and then went out on his way. I felt very rushed and felt that he did not care. When the doctor left I was still in the room with the woman coordinator. Immeaditely she asked me when I wanted to book the surgery. Then she printed out a price and it came out to about 21,000 dollars. Which I believe is ridiculous. She was pressuring me to book the surgery and leave a payment. I'm only 20 and needed to speak to my parents about it first since they would be paying for it. She kept telling me to call my mom right away to get the money and book the surgery. I was hesitant and felt so pressured. I told her I needed to go home and I would get back to her. She then asked me to leaves down payment so that in case the prices went up I would only pay the 21,000 I was originally quoted. I didn't have cash on me. Why would I travel with that much money. Then she asked me how much money I had in my debit account. Can you say money hungry? She told me to give her whatever I had in my account and I said no. I wanted to do my surgery in August or something when I was done with school. She told me to get the non surgical rhinoplasty in the meantime because she said why would I go out in public with my nose the way it is. Are you kidding me. I'm not paying 2500 dollars for no reason. And my nose is not bad at all. They were just trying to get as much money out of me as possible. Before I left she told me that I should book the surgery but if I didn't she didn't care about the money they wouldn't be getting because she said as I could see there were many people in the waiting room wanting rhinoplasties. Ok that's great for them. I left. If they weren't so money hungry and wanted my business why did they constantly call me for a week even though I refused to answer them? I left there feeling so much less confident in myself and it was clear all they wanted was my money. The doctor was a nice man but I did not appreciate how that woman went about the business and money aspect. Very rude and money hungry people.
Do not believe a word they say unless you have a copy of it in writing. Ask for copies of any paperwork & take the time to read it in detail before signing. Don't let them pressure you- if they tell you to sign right away in order to get some great deal, know they're lying. The staff members there are scam artists. The second the sale was made and I signed the paper work, they dropped the fake friendly act.
Here's the short version of my story: I was given the date & location of my surgery. After everything was set and I made all necessary arrangements, I was told Dr. Kassir had a conflict and had to reschedule my surgery. The secretary offered a new date at a new location, but did not mention that this location would cost an extra couple thousand dollars. I had my surgery, paid for it in full, and then got a bill for over $2000 from the surgical center. After months of dealing with some of the rudest people I've ever met in my life, they called me and told me the bill was taken care of and I didn't have to pay anything else. I mistakenly did not ask for this in writing. Almost a year after my surgery, I received a letter from a collection agency asking me to pay the bill in full. When I tried to clear this up with Dr. Kassir's office, they told me they also believed this was settled, but when I asked for an email or something in writing saying that, they refused. They then proceeded to yell at me, not let me talk, and hang up on me. It's been well over a year since my surgery, the bill is still not settled, and I'm set to meet with a lawyer this afternoon. The stress this has caused has made the entire surgery not worth it.
Here's the long version:
At the consultation I was told the procedure would be $10k including all charges and would be in Manhattan. I was also told that the secretary mistakenly told me this price and it should have been closer to $18k, but she came back and said Dr. Kassir agreed to it because he didn’t want to go back on what I was already told and he knew I was a waitress and couldn’t afford over $10k. What a nice guy. The only catch was I had to sign and put the first payment down right away or I would lose the deal. I agreed and then some other doctor I knew nothing about came in with an iPad and quickly scrolled thru the document on the screen occasionally holding it out telling me where to sign. I never received a copy of that document. I scheduled a date and time, found a ride to and from the surgery, found someone to cover all my shifts at work, and planned my start date to my new job based around this date. After all this was set, I received a call from one of Dr. Kassir’s staff saying that Dr. Kassir wasn’t actually available on the date of my surgery and I had to reschedule. She offered one or two dates that completely conflicted with everything I had already planned. Then she said, actually if you have the surgery in Wayne I can schedule you for this date, which was still an inconvenience, but it was possible to rearrange my schedule and the schedule of those involved to make it work. We agreed on the date and time. There was no mention of a change in price for the different location.
After the surgery I received a bill from Wayne Surgical Center. I did not understand why, so I reached out to both Dr. Kassir’s office and WSC. I then understood that the difference between going to the Manhattan office and WSC was that Dr. Kassir owns the Manhattan office so he can control the price there, but not at WSC. I insisted that this was due to Dr. Kassir’s scheduling conflict, I was not informed of the change in price, and I should not be responsible for it. After months of back and forth phone calls, being ignored, avoided, and treated incredibly rudely, I was told by both Dr. Kassir’s office and WSC that they had come to an agreement and I was not responsible for the bill.
Months later, after thinking this whole stress was all behind me, I received a letter from Pressler & Pressler that I had been sent to collections over this bill from WSC. I reached out to both the debt collectors and WSC and they both had no documentation that this was taken care of. When I called Dr. K’s office they apologized, said they thought this was taken care of and they’re on the phone with WSC handling it now. I asked for some sort of documentation of what she just said and she laughed and said she can’t just produce a document for me. I asked for just an email restating what she just said and she screamed at me and said it’s being handled now and she can’t send me anything. I began to ask again but was interrupted when I realized she put me on hold. Someone then came back and without allowing me to speak said, “Hi, we’re going to have to call you back. Have a nice day.” They quickly hung up and still have not called me back.
Happy with my results but the price was super high and his punctuality was poor. I waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time for a procedure that took 10 minutes (non-surgical rhinoplasty). His staff was nice but didn't go out of their way to overextend themselves. All in all I give his practice a 7 out of 10!
Dr. Kassir is fantastic! From my first consultation with him, I knew he was the surgeon I was going to choose for my rhinoplasty. I have always disliked my nose and it was time that I finally did something about it, I was ready for a change. When I first met with Dr. Kassir, I addressed all of my concerns with him and he agreed with what had to be done. I felt very assured that my nose was going to look amazing after the surgery. This would be my first time having surgery and anesthesia, but Dr. Kassir and the staff made me feel completely comfortable with everything. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Kassir met with me before going into the OR and he was there when I woke up. The first thing he said was, “Your nose looks great!” The recovery process was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, I followed all of the pre and post op directions and I barely had any bruising. On the day of my cast removal, I could not believe what I saw when I looked in the mirror. I was in love with my new nose. It was a huge decision to have surgery, but it was well worth it and I wish I would of done it sooner. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. All of my questions were answered and I was able to make follow up appointments that fit my availability. I look forward to visiting the office for other procedures in the future.
Dr. Kassir has been nothing but perfect my entire procedure. He answered questions and even phone calls on a Sunday the day after my surgery. He was even willing to go into the office on a Sunday to take something out of my nose that was causing me to have anxiety. He's a sweetheart and really does listen to everything you say. For any other procedure I decide to get in the future - he will be my man. Hands down. He is a true artist not only with his artwork but his patients. I can't thank him enough.
