Ratings for Dr. J Reddy
my review is based purely upon the staff. Just the receptionist. I don't know who answers the phone there but all the times we have had contact with that office, the woman who spoke to us was nothing but short, rude and disrespectful. My husband had one scheduled and he had to go out of the country. He was referred again to go and they had told us that we had to pick up the packet no later than Friday knowing that we live an hour away. There was no mention of Going to the office to pick it up at all whatsoever. I had gone in to pick it up to our Pharmacy, and it wasn't there, I called the office on Monday and told her that the packet wasn't there so his appointment would have to be moved because he was too late and starting it for his colonoscopy. She proceeded to get mad at me on the phone and told me that she had called me 5 times and 5 times she told me that I had to drive to the office to pick it up. I had said to her she never said that to me and why would I agree to drive an hour when it can be faxed to our Pharmacy? She ended up calling our Pharmacy for the fax number and the pharmacist who we deal with had stated that she was very rude on the phone as well. When I told my husband the way that she had spoke to me and he had remembered the way that she had spoken to him prior, he decided to go with a different doctor. No bedside manners at all. Now granted this was the receptionist whoever's answering the phone and I have also spoken to two other people that I ran into and they also had experiences with her. I don't understand how people can get away with treating others like that. I haven't had any experience with the doctor at all it was just the receptionist and that was enough for us to decide to go elsewhere. And after coming on here to post up a review seeing that you don't even get a gown I'm glad my husband didn't go there. Ridiculous. If you go on other sites they are five starring their own office to get their ratings up when they're giving a bad review. Nice. Not everyone has Pleasant experiences and they should be reviewing how their receptionist is answering the phone and talking to their patients. Isn't that why they went to medical school? Or did they just go to medical school for money?
I find it funny that theirs negativity towards staff on here? The health field is one of great stress and yet the staff "nurses" are all smiling and polite? The procedure is one that most aren't looking forward too but they do a great job at making you comfortable. Doctors are a bit rushed but I do see that in the waiting room people get impatient.
Dr Reddy is an amazing gastroenterologist as well as an amazing person....if i didnt have him as my specialist i dont know what i would do. He is always willing to see me last minute and answer and question and concerns. Great bedside manner. His staff is very helpful and they do what they can for such a busy office...highly recommend this doctor!
Dr. Reddy and his staff are absolutely the most amazing! I could not get over what this team did for me. I left happy knowing that I could finally set aside some of my worries. He assured me about the problems I was having. He made me feel like a human. He was on time and very pleasant. I would not go to any other gastroenterologist in this city. Dr. Reddy cares about his patients and cares about the problems going on with his patients. He takes the time to hear out the problems, symptoms and any concerns. His staff made my life easier when I had questions or concerns, if they did not know the answer they got back to me in a timely fashion as to the information I was looking for. I wouldn't trade Dr. Reddy for anything!
Both my family doctor and myself were not happy. My family doctor had requested assessment by Dr Reddy, but all I got was the colonoscopy. The doctor did not see me before I was lyíng down on my side with my botom bare. Discussion lasted less than 2 minutes. My family doctor will have to refer me to another specialist for opinion on my symptoms. I just got the endoscopy. It also felt humiliating to not be covered ( no gown, nothing else than the infamous "short" with the whole at the back. They tell you to keep your sweater, but people should be handed something to be better covered. I won't back. I felt bad about the whole thing.
I had the colonoscopy at Sudbury endoscopy unit .Dr Reddy is excellent and also I had Dr Mathur as anaesthetist who is very efficient and i did not feel any discomfort.i had the same procedure 5 years ago by a different doctor at Health science North which was very painful and throughout the procedure I was screaming.I strongly recommend Sudbury endoscopy unit for the procedures.
De. Reddy is a wonderful and caring doctor. I and thee members of my family have been under his care and have had nothing but wonderful things to say. My 76 year old mother and my husband were both sent to his facility for colonoscopies. This experience was so much better than going to the hospital. Short wait time. The staff were pleasant and actually cared about how we felt, both the patient and the family. I had to go to work on both days so the staff offered to call me once the patient was ready to be picked up, again them going the extra step to make things more convinient for the patients. My mother was initially nervous but once complete she was quite happy, no discomfort and adequate covering (at other place offers gowns and blankets?). The last 5 ratings are all similar in writing style and content, none for 5 years and all of a sudden 5 basically maligning a good doctor with a stellar reputation. I wouldn't believe them. This dr knows what he is doing and actually cares about the well being of his patients
