Ratings for Dr. Rodney Marsh
For a practitioner in his field, the lack of empathy was totally unacceptable. Felt no support, offered little in way of options to deal with the problems faced. Hard to rate his knowledge when he offered so little. He was so passive. I felt I was merely useful for his next research paper.
Dr Marsh was not only full of helpful advice but he was very compassionate. He was very easy to talk to and helped me through a very difficult period of my life. He helped me to want to keep living, to look for the good things in life. I am eternally grateful to him.
I saw Rod Marsh for 7 years and obviously was happy with him. He listens, really listens, does not judge and offers firm advice but in the end, respects your individuality as a person and does not force his opinions upon you, or act in a demeaning, patronising or condescending manner. Although I have lost faith in the psychiatric "profession", if it can be called that, given its a)lack of scientific basis b) reliance on subjective and debatable opinion for diagnoses and c) its foundation and completely lack of evidence based mantra that "chemical imbalances" lie at the cause of psychiatric issues, and I now offer very strong advice to never let yourself get anywhere near psychiatrist because once you do will open the gate to losing control of your life as it is scarily easy to come under the control of the mental health authorities as a result of one vexacious person. So given all that,if you are still must see a psychiatrist, you will be safer with Rod Marsh than with most.
