Ratings for Dr. Ivan A. Sabio
Shopping for a new PCP. Tried to get an appointment to discuss a potentially serious problem with my blood work for over a month but they stop taking calls at 11:30 and usually don't bother turning their phones back on before the end of the day. It could have just been the days I called, but on a Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, they used their answering service at 4pm and before and after. When I finally got an appointment for Friday to discuss that and my recent related ER visit, he called in sick and it had to be cancelled. Convenient time to get sick, right before a holiday weekend. And they still weren't back Monday. If you are looking for an unreliable doctor who always pushes pain medication on you, even when you tell him repeatedly that you are NOT in pain and don't need it or want it (hey, a plus for some people!), and who likes to pick his ears and nose when he listens to you, give Dr. Sabio a call! Just make sure it's before lunch at 11:30 and not the week of a bank holiday.
He is new in with Dr. Sauvaegeau. If he took the time to listen, you may have a chance. Instead, he prescribes medicines not related to your point of the visit. When explained medication was making me too sleepy to work, his answer was to continue taking it. Does he know how to prescribe and possible "titrate" I know that and am NOT a physician. Did not take the time to review the reports I had copied and brought in. Does not return phone calls.
