I used Dr. Segal twice with excellent results both times. He is very kind and treats his patients with respect. I felt I was in very capable hands.

Dr.Segal performed a TKR on me 10/10/2011 . I was riding a recumbent, stationary bike 5 miles/day one month after surgery.I went back to work(physical warehouse work) 6 weeks after surgery. Today is 12/21/11 and I feel great. I am 5'10" and weighed 178 lbs. the day of surgery.I'm a 54 y.o. man and I lost 26 lbs in preparation for the operation. Dr.Segal is a fine surgeon with an exceptional skill set and he is a nice man.He and his staff were kind and answered my questions and made me feel comfortable. Please note that no matter how good the surgeon is, the patient must be diligent with rehab. I have already recommended Dr.Segal and will continue to do so. Happy holidays, Neil

i went to him because another orthopedist had inject my ankle with synvisc after hitting bone 6 times prior to finally getting the synvisc into the joint. i asked dr. segal what the other dr. had done to cause me so much pain and what could be done to return my ankle to the state it was in prior to this procedure. he was uninterested in helping me and only tried to sell me ankle fusion surgery, something that was to his financial benefit. he was totally unconcerned with helping me unless it benefited him financially

I was referred to Dr because of hip pain. I was originally told that this pain was from lumbar spine. On my first visit ton Dr. Segal he advised me I had a arthritic hip and needed hip repacement surgery. He told me that I would be fully recovered in 3 months. After I started PT after the surgery I developed knee and back problems. I was referred to a PT specialist Dr Ali Guy who began treating my now hip, back and knee problems. Abput 4 months post surgery Dr. Segal sent me for a MRI for my right knee. He told me he thought I had a torn miniscus. I had 2 previous miniscus surgeries to my right knee. After the MRI he informed me that I had Chrondamalacia and ther was no surgical remidy for this condition. He refeerd me back to Dr Guy for additional PT.While undegoing this PT Dr. Segaloffice informed my disability carrier that I was able to go back to workwitout restriction. Dr Guy informed them that I was totally disabled. He will not return my calls & I will be seeing another hip Dr.
