After receiving his B.S. from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ecker attended NYU College of Dentistry. While in dental school, he did an externship at the NYC Veterans Administration Hospital in their dental clinic.\n\nDr. Ecker received his dental degree in 1977 and immediately worked on the staff at the Newark Beth Israel Hospital in their dental clinic. He stayed on staff for two years and opened his private practice first in Morris Plains in 1979, and then moved to his present practice in Denville in 1989.\n\nIn 1993, Dr Ecker became one of the first dentists in America to institute a specialized program to treat Chronic Halitosis. He has lectured to over a hundred dentists on the program and has been interviewed by major radio and T.V. stations.\n\nDr. Ecker became certified in invisible braces and has enjoyed creating beautiful and cosmetic smiles for his patients. Both Dr. Ecker and his associate Dr. Hogan love to treat the entire family.\n\nDr. Ecker enjoys tennis and fishing. As a hobby, he creates beautiful western riding saddles and other leather items.
