Ratings for Dr. Jonathan Stein
Felt belittled and patronized by Dr Stein. Was misdiagnosed for almost 6 months until corrected by another doctor and, due to his being dismissive, was back in severe pain in a month as he did not listen ! I was not examined nor thoroughly assessed. If you need a doctor who listens and works with you, this is not the one. He follows standard protocols but does not personalize treatment regardless.
I saw Dr. Stein and I thought he was terrible. When he diagnosed me, he basically said this is what you have...no recommendations, no suggestions for pain management. I basically felt like he didn't have time for me and didn't care. I also didn't feel that this was his passion. I feel like he's just collecting a pay check.
Dr. Stein's office is well run. His front of office assistant is incredibly efficient and pleasant. Dr. Stein really listens to you and is very pragmatic in his approach to your medical needs, taking into account your lifestyle and financial situation. I would highly recommend him as a doctor and am very glad I found him.
Misdiagnosed me several times before finding landing on one I hope it right..... doesn't listen, forgets who I am which is understandable having a lot of patients but he doesn't bother to review my chart first either so kept diagnosing me over and over, kept going back to meds that we tried that didn't work and even gave me meds that have dangerous reaction with another that I'm on. Haven't been impressed with him or with how curt and tact less his secretary can be. Would not recommend him.
Dr Stein is the BEST. He has become a friend now. He makes you feel important and treats the condition. And if he can't he will send you to someone who can treat the problem. I've been seeing Dr Stein for 5 years and I am blessed to have him as a Dr. Although if you need to speak to him personally on the phone it's difficult. But as a Doctor...he is first class.
I saw this doctor for the first time today and I am very disappointed; I waited for this appointment for 3 month. Dr. was late and had a few patients scheduled for the same appointment!? So I waited for him for some time. To my biggest surprise appointment lasted only 5 minutes!! I have a very complex chronically spinal condition and was hoping to have proper examination and time to share my medical history but that didn’t happen. He was rushing thru my results and omitting very important findings and after only checking my blood pressure he concluded that I am not be of his concern but my family doctor. Would I recommend this doctor? Unfortunately my answer is no. I would say that a few minutes is not enough time to greet someone properly and would expect that addressing and examining serious health condition would require more than that.
