Not informed when husband was having surgery, what was really wrong.Told in ER he might need a pacemaker.Next morning when ICU opened I found attendents taking him to surgery. They didn't know why, husband thought it was for a pacemaker.4hours later I ask info desk to check. She said problems with leads and pacemaker was all they were doing.Surgery over no DR. Staff thought he had talked to us. I insisted on a verbal report.Nurses informed him and when he entered room talked directly to my husband.Turned ask me," Do you have any questions".I ask why no family was informed of the surgery or what the surgery was for. He said,"I told him, did he not understand." I replied,"He was brought here from passing out, he has been drugged, you should always include family in communications." He said, "Maybe my error, do you have any questions". He did ask for me next morning and I did not have a sit down with the adminstrator. Hope my lecture was a positive! A 3 is for total lack of communications
