Ratings for Dr. Hugh M. Gloster
Bad experience with Dr. Gloster. He's supposed to specialize in Mohs surgery, in which the doc takes a small amount of tissue from a suspicious lesion, checks it under the scope, and if margins are still not clean, he comes back to take a little more tissue. In the case of my elderly relative, he came into the room, gouged a huge incision in her arm and said he knew he "got it all" and proceded to sew up the incision. The after care instructions were very poor, to non existent. There was swelling and several months later, still a large scar. I don't feel he took the time to do a proper Mohs surgery, it certainly seemed like he was doing the procedure quickly without regard to her future scaring. Patients deserve better! Adding insult to injury, she received a bill for her co-pay for the follow up visit, when she never even saw Dr. Gloster. The assistant removed the stitches. Surgical follow ups should not be a separate charge, and fortunately they did drop the charge.
