Ratings for Dr. Paul T. Marciano
Thank you Dr Marciano and staff for taking such good care of me and my kids. I struggled with plantar fasciitis for over a year before seeing Dr. Marciano and am no longer in pain and back to My regular routine. One of my kids had an ingrown nail the other a fracture. He and his staff took great care of us. The billing lady also helped me with an issue with my insurance she was clear and always did her best to help me understand my plan. Thank you I know it was not easy.
I have had 2 Youngswick Bunionectomies performed by Dr. Paul Marciano. The first one was about 5 yrs ago and then recently just finished the 2nd one in September. He explained everything to me prior to the surgery, told me exactly what to expect and how long it would take to recover. I did everything the way he told me to and I haven't had a bit of a problem. He is an excellent doctor, he listened to everything I had to say and answered all my questions. I haven't had a bit of pain or problems walking or wearing any type of shoe. He is amazing and I can't tell you how thankful I am that I found him. I have referred him to family and friends and will continue to do so. Thank you Dr. Marciano, you saved my feet!
Just had a bad experience at Academy Foot & Ankle in Southlake, Texas. Billing problem. No call back from the billing department, after 2 days, led me to have to travel up there in person to get to the bottom of the problem. Upon leaving from the original appointment we paid cash in full and then left. Later, they get insurance involved and raise the price. They collect more money from the insurance company and then send me a bill for even more money. I do not believe this to be a very ethical way to do business. Not sure why at the time I was able to pay cash and leave with bill fully paid, and now I had to pay them more money and see that they got paid even more from the insurance company. Seems Academy profited from the insurance company and from me. Not sure where in this it is for the customer/client. Needless to say I am not happy with this type of business practice. It was just a money grab by them to the insurance company to get more money, with me having to be penalized for this money grab of theirs. They never once called me or emailed me about the billing issue, just turned the collection agents loose on us. What a shameful way to treat customers/clients. In the office, in person, they did not seem to care about my concerns. I will be posting the truth about my experience with them anywhere and everywhere, so that people will beware of the business practices at Academy Foot & Ankle in Southlake, Texas.
Dr. Marciano performed both of my bunion surgeries (left & right) fourteen years ago and I have been pain free since. He was very compassionate, so much that he stands out as one of the best doctors I've ever had interaction with. I elected to not take any pain medication following each surgery (spaced 8 mths apart) due to my desire to continue nursing my infant son. Not only was he understanding of my desire, but also took the time to help me find alternative therapies to use in lieu of narcotics for pain relief. Due to his expertise and willingness to help I was able to successfully breastfeed my baby for one year while also treating my bunions without having to compromise. His technique has held the test of time, which is exactly what I was looking for in a surgeon so as to not have to repeat the procedures. I have recommended Dr. Marciano to countless friends and family due to his expertise and bedside manner.
My sister had elected for the same surgery, Youngstown bunionectomy, in another town this past summer and she had a lot of pain afterward. I was a little skeptical about Dr. Marciano's assurance that "if I did what he told me to do" I would not have much pain. Because I had a very short time to recover, I did exactly as he told me to do. I felt a little discomfort the first night home, nothing I could even classify as pain, and from that point forward it got better and better. He was extremely supportive, kind and professional in every way. I have bragged about my surgery and recovery so much, my sister's friends, needing the same surgery are willing to drive 2.5 hours to have Dr. Marciano perform their surgeries. His staff was great in every way too. My surgery was an outstanding success...due to an outstanding surgeon, staff and very detailed follow up. I knew exactly what to expect and what was coming next because of the hand-out he gave me before the surgery.
I went to Dr. Paul Marciano with a very painful left foot and ankle. He was extremely nice, informative and helpful. His nurse took xrays of my foot and ankle. When Dr. Marciano came in the room he showed me the xray and explained the problem I had. After examining my foot and ankle and speaking to me---listening to what I had to say too, he gave me orthotics to put in my shoes and told me not to go barefoot and not to wear a shoe without arch support. I did what he said and I cannot believe the fantastic results! To say I am elated is putting it very mildly because prior to seeing him I had gone to another podiatrist who just promptly sent me to get a brace and told me this was for life! I was miserable as the brace threw everything else off and my knees, hip, and back hurt. Dr. Marciano not only did his exam but also heard what I had to say. He fixed my problem in a professional and friendly manner. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Marciano and his staff were always professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and dedicated to serving his customers. The surgery went as he described, recovery went extremely well thanks to his therapy staff (Lynn and Mike) who took the time to explain not only what therapy was going to be performed but also why it was important. In 8 weeks I went from having pain daily to almost fully recovered. My personal care doctor explained that I was looking at between 6 months to a year for recovery so to be this far along after a couple of months is really excellent, and that can be attributed to all of his staffs support. Thank you Dr. Marciano, Michelle, Phelinda, Mike and Lynn!
I've had nothing but positive interactions with Dr. Marciano and his staff. He has always been very welcoming, kind, knowledgable, and helpful with whatever foot problem I had (plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenail, plantar wart). I would (and have) highly recommended him.
