Dr. Hershenfeld is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in his examinations and assessments. The receptionists are another story. They are rude and incompetent. They are often disrespectful to the patients. They sit and chat while patients, some quite elderly, stand at the window and wait for them to finish their idioti, infantile conversations.
I have been a patient for over 10 years, and I can absolutely attest to Dr. Hershenfeld's unwavering commitment to providing his patients with the very best possible eye care. He is at once experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough. Over the past 5 years, I had emergency situations on two separate occasions, and both Dr. Hershenfeld and his exemplary staff members Mona and Marilyn provided me with immediate attention and service. I have complete confidence and trust in Dr. Hershenfeld and his team, and could not even begin to imagine entrusting my vision care needs to anyone else.
I've seen Dr Hershenfeld for approximately 15 years, and have always been treated well. Yes, the wait times are long, but that's just the nature of the kind of eye exams he does. And the reception staff are very helpful and accommodating. When you treat people with respect and kindness, usually they'll do the same...and I have seen some terrible behavior by clients over the years, so maybe all of the complainers are getting back what they give out.
This place is really really garbage. Secretary their are rude and just horrible at their job. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I actually recommend people change their doctor right away, you will feel much better and healthier instantly just by not going their. The office is just ran by dummies!
All good comments are fakes. This place is garbage and the doc is careless moron, otherwise he would kick the secretary's sitting area (sensored) or would hire someone who is able to provide at least some service, or would just lift his butt and do it hmself.
All the negative comments about the front desk/receptionist staff are absolutely true. They are extremely unhelpful and provide very poor service. The one positive comment must be from a relative, or maybe just got lucky. I can live with the long wait times, but not being able to contact the doctor directly is a real pain (get an e-mail address!). The doctor himself is knowledgable and I have no problems with him.
