I am 33 years old and had a breast Augmentation just over 3 years ago. I am 5'3 and weigh 107 pounds, I love to workout, eat healthy and try very hard to look a certain way(brings me more happiness when i take care of myself). I went to see Dr. Drake Vincent 3 years ago to have a normal routine Breast Augmentation, after my surgery i knew something was wrong, they looked completely off. One was higher and the pocket was not the same as the other side, he agreed and did a second surgery right away to fix my chest. They still didnt look perfect but blamed it on my chest cavity. After a few months my breast aug started falling and dropping into my ribs, I was 2 inches lower and lopsided. I hated my chest, they were too wide for my small frame and i always looked Boxy in shirts. I liked the way i looked flat better before the surgery. I ended up living this way for 3 years until i couldn't handle it anymore, they were sitting in my ribs and stretching the skin. I went to 3 different doctors and did lots of research and that is how and why I choose Dr. Fryer, he was amazing!!!! He told me exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to fix and close the pockets. I was so nervous and mad that i had to do the surgery over a 3rd time and pay a lot more money to fix the Problem that Dr. Drake Vincent created. I ended up scheduling the surgery within 2 weeks and had plenty of time asking Dr. Fryer questions and talking about my concerns. He understood everything that i was wanting, I wanted to be even, higher and more narrow. The surgical center was incredible, the anesthesiologist was amazing(i didnt get sick) and my recovery has been great. Dr. Fryer said my surgery was going to be painful due to putting an internal bra of sutures inside to hold everything up(i didnt need a lift). I was prepared to be out of commission for 2 weeks on pain meds but i was in a lot of pain for only 3 days, after that i went off meds. I was able to take care of my 4 small children the day after surgery(no lifting though). I am so surprised that my recovery has been so minimal. The first 3 days my chest looked really funny, I was swollen in different places and they didnt look even. Dr. Fryer called me personally off hours 3 different times. He told me the swelling would be different on each breast due to having to revise each breast differently. He said trust me I sat you up 4 different times in surgery to get them to look great and even. He really paid attention to my main concerns and only after one week they look great!!!! He had to lift the right breast a ton to match the other side and make the capsule pockets smaller, he had to close up the pocket on the sides to make them more narrow and on the left he had to round out the center to bring them closer together. All of the things I asked him to do he exceeded my expectations. They look amazing only because i went to Dr. Fryer, he took the time to care about me and my needs. Go to him, Do not go anywhere else because he will give you the results you want and knows correctly how to do it. Learn from my mistake, do not go cheaper and do not go to a doctor who is NOT A BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON. Amazing Staff, Amazing Doctor and I will be going back to him in the future.
I enjoyed nursing each of my four children for a full 12-15 months! Plus, I worked full-time and that translated to a lot of wear and tear with a breast pump. Needless to say, my poor breasts had taken a beating. I was happy and relatively comfortable with myself dressed...although I always was painfully aware that I kinda looked like a 12 year old boy. However, I cringed when I went clothes shopping or when I was au natural in front of my husband. He insisted that he loved me just the way I was and that it didn't matter...but, I couldn't help but cringe when he touched my breasts.
I had always promised myself that when our babies where all here, I would have the surgery. What I hadn't realized was that a lift AND an augmentation (I needed both) translated to much more money than I though it was going to be. So, I decided I was just going to be fine they way I was....and I felt so sad. A few months later, (my husband never really saying to or not to...even though I tried to get him to) I decided that even though it was a ridiculous amount of money and it was totally selfish...I was going to do it. And I am so happy I did.
I am not a different person. It did not turn me into a super model or make me incredible in bed. But, I have to admit...it has given me so much more confidence...maybe it is shallow...but, I feel SO much better in my own skin and that has had a profound effect on all other aspects of my life. I look so much better in clothes and it is so much more fun to shop. I enjoy being naked a lot more than I used to (although I kinda wish I had gone ahead and sprung for that tummy tuck...you know, the whole mommy makeover) and I do think that that has had an effect on our sex life.
I read all the reviews and had consultations with a number of surgeons in Salt Lake and I am so happy that I ended up picking Dr. Fryer. He had the best reviews and when I visited him he was so professional (but approachable) and didn't act rushed and answered all my questions with real information instead of just fluff. I was pleased with his staff and the way his office was run. My surgery went well and they turned out beautiful! My recovery went very smoothly. I was really hurting for like 24 hrs (I don't like to take pain meds) then felt like I had an elephant sitting on my chest for about a week or 10 days. Things where kinda tight and shiny and high there for a while as the swelling lasted a pretty good 5-6 wks but I am at 3 months now and they have settled down and look and feel a lot more natural. I also had quite a large area of numbness on my right breast...like my armpit all they way to my nipple on the entire outer half of my breast! It took a good 10 weeks...but it is now coming back. So, I think all the feeling will return.
I am tall (5'9'') and have pretty wide shoulders and a pretty wide chest and I ended up going with 450cc silicon implants. I am happy with them and I feel like for the life I want to lead (jogging, climbing, rolling around in the grass with my kids) and for the length of time I would like these babies to look good (gravity will eventually catch up with me still) they are just right. Having said that...I swear that they looked much bigger when I tried them on in the office (you just stick the implant in a bra and look in the mirror). I really wish that I had gone bigger. I think that it would have been better for me if I had had another chance to try things on. I met with Dr. Fryer in December when I was meeting with a lot of other surgeons and I did try the implants on at that time. But, then I didn't decide to go ahead with the surgery and with him until April. Then my surgery was scheduled in May and you don't see him again until a week before your surgery....and then there is no time to schedule another time to go in and try them on again if you have anxiety about whether or not you made the right choice...which I did. I called and talked to one of his staff and she was really sweet and helpful and tried to put my mind at ease that I had selected the right size...but, I wish I could have had another chance to try them on and get a better idea of what size implant I wanted. I think, if I were to do it again...I would go with 550 instead of 450. I am sure that if I had asked in the beginning...they would have let me come in some time during that month that I was waiting for my pre-op appointment and just sat in a room with my husband and tried some on. I don't know. But, if you are at all worried about that...try it. That is my only wrinkle in the whole experience. That and the anesthesiologist kept commenting that it was not a bad think to look like a porn star when I getting laid out on the table and settled in...kinda creeped me out since I was just about to be naked from the waist up and unconscious in front of him in just a few seconds. (Seriously...I think I was actually awake for like 1 minute before I went under and he said it twice!).
I would highly recommend Dr. Fryer for any plastic surgery!! I'm a 22 year old who always knew I was going to get a breast augmentation, but choosing Dr. Fryer as my plastic surgeon was the best decision I could have made. From my very first consultation he made me feel so comfortable and he took the time to answer every question that I had (which was a lot), it was easy to see that he sincerely cared! I had been to other consultations where I felt as though the surgeon was just telling me whatever I wanted to hear so that I would choose them to do my surgery, Dr. Fryer was the exact opposite he was so real the entire time and that is why I scheduled my surgery date at my first consultation. He helped me through the entire process and made my very indecisive self completely confident in my decisions on size, profile, etc. I had a lot of friends that told me horror stories about their recovery after surgery (some of them unable to return to work or do much of anything on their own for up to 3 weeks) so that was a very legitimate fear of mine, this is one of the first things I brought up as a concern to Dr. Fryer. He reassured me that it's all in the technique that is used and that people don't have to suffer for weeks and weeks in unbearable pain. He told me I should be feeling good enough to go back to work in one week, which I will admit I didn't necessarily believe... until I experienced it. I had my surgery on a Thursday and I went back to work on Monday simply taking ibuprofen. I could go on and on about how amazing by experience was but I will end this by saying that if you're considering getting plastic surgery Dr. Richard Fryer is hands down the best option. I'm so glad that I chose him to do my breast augmentation and if I ever want anything else done I will definitely be coming back!
Dr. Fryer and his staff were wonderful! They were very kind, and were able to give me the results I wanted and still keep my body proportion in mind. I was very indecisive about implant size, but I never once felt rushed or pushed. I even went back a couple of times to try on sizes, and I never felt like an inconvenience to them. They followed up after the procedure multiple times, making sure I was comfortable and to answer any questions I had.
I just wanted bigger breasts. I have one child who I breastfed so I was a deflated B cup. I was looking to go to a much larger size and what I came out with is exactly what I wanted. I'm now a D/DD which was achieved with 460cc High Profile, Silicone implants. The cost was a little more expensive than I would have liked, however, they were very upfront about the total cost. You get what you pay for when it comes to augmenting any body part, so I don't mind paying a little more.
Got in my first major auto accident this past month and had the good fortune to work with Dr. Freyer to repair my head wound. The collision itself slit my left eyebrow completely in two, resulting in a large gash that was clearly visible across my forehead. Not only was Dr. Freyers bedside manner upbeat and optimistic, his work was very precise and caused little to no discomfort at all. The recovery itself has been seamless, with no complications and clear signs of improvement every day. As stitches have recently dissolved, my follow up with Dr. Freyer was both empowering and informative. While it will definitely take some time for the scar to naturally fade, I could not be happier with his services and his craftsmanship during this otherwise unfortunate ordeal.
I have really never had much in the breast department and after nursing three children my breast were less than desirable. After reading many positive reviews I decided to go with Dr. Fryer. I am so happy I did! The process was so easy. His office staff are all fantastic. Dr. Fryer was super knowledgeable. He was very informative. He also does amazing work! My recovery was almost painless. I was up the next day out and about. I am extremely pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Fryer! I did 430cc implants in both breasts.
Waited weeks to get in, then waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to see the doctor. There were patients coming and going in and out of the office and I found out they were seeing one of the other doctors in the same office, Dr. Motoki and I was wishing I had scheduled with him instead, and the funny thing is , originally I had been referred to the other doctor by my OB doctor who only refers to Dr. Motoki! I'm not sure why I didn't listen to his suggestion, I guess I was overly impressed by all of Dr. Fryers reviews. Once I got in finally, the actual visit was no more impressive than what I would have expected, and..certainly not worth the wait, but I had been lured in by the reviews, which now I am supposing are due to having a good marketing team.
In addition, his coordinator had been emailing me with information that turned out to be quite incorrect, and then during the actual appointment, she back peddled quickly to get herself off the hook, trying to make it seem as if I had misunderstood her....which was not the case.
I ended up having my surgery elsewhere because the office had a 'rule that you could only consult with one of the doctors there.' so I was unable to schedule with Dr. Motoki after having seen Dr. Fryer. That being said, my surgery turned out fine, and I'm happy with my results. Dr. Fryer undoubtedly is a good doctor, but I doubt he could be considered so much better than any other doctor who routinely does breast augmentation surgery. I believe Dr. Fryer's greatest asset must be a great marketing team. It certainly isn't respect of his patient's time.
Dr. Richard H. Fryer's response
I am so sorry you were not elated with your consultation and experience in my office. As one of the busiest plastic surgery practices in the state we work very hard to try to eliminate extended wait times. When we anticipate that a day may be overly booked we actually call our follow-up patients to see if they would like to reschedule to a day when they may not have as long of a wait. Some days, despite our best efforts, my practice's popularity results in longer waits. I apologize for this event and assure you that we try to do everything possible to respect our patient's time.

I was tired of being heavy I wanted a change. I started eating really healthy and exercising every day. I have lost over 200 pounds and needed skin removal really bad. I search and searched for a good doctor. I wanted the best. I went to doctor after doctor and I just felt rushed and I felt like they doctors didn’t want to answer my question or they wanted to give me brief explanation. That was until I found Dr. Fryer. I did not feel rushed to leave and he sat there and explained everything to me and believe me I asked a lot). He made me feel comfortable to have the surgery and walked me through everything he was going to do. He called and checked up on me and made sure I had everything I needed. He was an awesome Dr. He personal changed my outlook and opinion on even my regular Dr. I will never go to another doctor. I need at least 2 more skin removal surgeries done and I will go to Dr. Fryer with them and any more I need to have. My results came out amazing. I was afraid of scaring but my scares are very minimal. It was awesome to have a Dr. to care so much. Even three months out and he still cares to see how you’re doing. I would recommend Dr. Fryer to everybody!
