Ratings for Dr. Mile Jovanovic
I only have good things to say about Dr.Jovanovic. He is very thorough, caring and knowledgeable. I spent years and years overexposing my skin to the sun, and I feel at ease knowing I have someone to closely monitor my skin for any changes. He has done many biopsies and while not always pleasant, I feel he did an excellent job. His receptionist Trish, however, could use some lessons in basic manners and etiquette. I had to reschedule an appointment and she spoke to me with disrespect and sarcasm. I cannot imagine working with a client and talking down to them as though they are trash for having to reschedule an appointment. In my line of work, I wouldn't expect to keep clients acting like a complete bag. I've never encountered anything like it. I respect Dr Jovanovic's time and felt bad about having to rebook, but regardless, should not have been spoken to the way she spoke to me. I consider myself to be a relatively reasonable person, and she was over the top rude. The receptionist is the first person you see when you walk into a medical office, and the person you first reach on the telephone. They represent the doctor. She is doing Dr.Jovanovic a huge disservice being employed there. I do hope in future she either learns to respect clients or finds a job in a dark warehouse somewhere, where she isn't in contact with people.
Dr. Jovanovic has been my specialist for more than 10 years. When I asked my new GP to refer me for a regular skin survey he asked me would I recommend this doctor and I told him I highly recommend him. He is professional, informative, calm, thorough and kind. The one doctor I can go to without getting anxious ~ his recommendations are informed and on point and he inspires trust. Highly recommended ~ thank you doctor.
I saw Dr. Jovanovic today and it was a very good experience. He removed a basil cell carcinoma from my nose and checked me over for anything else that might have needed attention. I felt very comfortable and at ease with him. I was very anxious about what this might be but his professionalism eased my anxiety and the treatment was done very easily. I hope I don't get any more problems but I will certainly go to him if I do.
I saw Dr. Jovanovic because I have several moles and a family history of skin cancer. I did feel a little uncomfortable to have him so close but he was examining small spots on my skin after all! I would rather he look closely than miss something. Very pleased with how thorough he was. Will be going back for regular skin checks. Grateful that the staff suggested I book well in advance so when I see my doctor for my doctor for my annual referral I will have my appointment booked and won't have to wait for 6 months.
I saw Dr. Jovanovic about 8 years ago when I was having a severe eczema attack. I found that he made me very uncomfortable. I found he touched my arms when not necessary and was in my personal space. He did give me a compounded cream prescription (not hydrocortisone!) and it works wonderfully for any flare ups. Now, 8 years later, I know that eating sugar, wheat, and dairy causes my eczema attacks.I find it very unfortunate that a dermatologist doesn't know that eating certain foods can be a huge contributing factor to patients with severe eczema. Luckily my GP can prescribe the cream he originally prescribed (if I need it) and I will not have to see him again.
My experience was similar to a post from 2007. Although he was pleasant and thorough, his proximity and the way he would touch my back (while examining my arm or leg) made me feel uncomfortable. Several minutes into the examination, I knew I would not be returning.
