Ratings for Dr. Armand Elbaz
I have been a patient of doctor Elbaz for over 30 years. Yes it is a long wait. Yes it is hard to get an appointment. Yes the waiting room is full. However, if you are in trouble, real trouble, he is the best ever!!!! I would happily wait to see him as I know his knowledge and expertise is excellent.
Impossible to get an appointment. The line is either busy or there is a recording saying that the office is closed for 4 to six weeks; and then the cycle begins again. If you do eventually get an appointment you most often wait one to two hours in a filthy, crowded waiting room full of sick people to see him.
Dr.Elbaz is a fair doctor, seems knowledgeable (thank God). But he seems to be away on holidays 2 to 3 times a year for more than a month at a time. It seems to me he does not really care for his patients as when he is away, either there is no notification message on the phone or the tel rings for 15 times then a message comes "message memory is full" and it hangs up on you. Repots on blood tests or MRI's are not called back to the patient. Too bad I can't get another doctor, because of the stupid system we have in Quebec, as they feel that once you are registered as a patient of a doctor good or bad, you are stuck with him and the CLSC will not even entertain your request for a change.
The time and help that you Will get from Dr. Elbaz dépend of the day. Somedays he Will be open and listen but when he is bussy he wont listen. The worse is his secretary is impossible to call her to get an appointement and she is rude and messy. I told hm and he just said "well is like that". I dont Know is he looks my examens and file before the appointement. Is really difficult to change your doctor so just find another one
I have been a patient of Dr.Elbaz for many years. He is an exceptional physician. He is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, and attentive. It is irrelevant that he doesn't check my reflexes or weigh me. What is important is that he addresses my concerns. My quality of life has infinitely improved after Dr.Elbaz referred me to a sleep disorder clinic 8 years ago. Thanks to him my Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome is under control. Bravo!
