Ratings for Dr. Isaac Z. Pugach
Great doctor. Not your typical "get in, get out, see you later" doctor. Explains the problem in detail and has a thorough plan. My friend, who had a problem that half a dozen doctors could not figure out, went to see Dr. Pugach on my recommendation, and she was diagnosed in 2 visits by Dr. Pugach.
Set appt for shot for poison ivy. Wouldn't give because BP was 140/85, but gave me 5 pills (same as shot) & topical cream. On day 6, with no pills left ivy began to spread again. Called for script for more pills & was told have to set another appt. Upon refusal, she said she'd ask Dr & call back. Of course no call, so I called back & was told not reviewed by Dr yet. Few min later got call to go get prescription. Went all way to pharmacy & it was more topical cream. They are very incompetent.
I have been going to Dr. Pugach as my PCP for several years now, despite having excellent insurance. In the past, he's been wonderful, but lately, the service in his office has gone completely down the tubes. The two girls in the front are nice enough, unless for some reason you try and ask a question or schedule a follow up. When I first started going, Dr. Pugach seemed very much like a real doctor who took the time to listen to you, come up with a long term plan, and he really was just as good as any other doctor I've ever been to. Lately though, he just churns through people as fast as he can and doesn't give a $#!T anymore. It's a shame, because he used to be great. Now I won't ever be going back.
I was suffering from pain in my arm. Dr. Pugach scheduled me for an apt the day I contacted him. His examination was thorough resulting in him referring me for an ultrasound which confimred his intial diagnosis of a clot. Within one hour of notice of my clot Dr. Pugach had coordinated with my oncologist the medication I needed and had the medication ordered. It is very reasuring to have a doctor like Dr. Pugach who combines his medical knowledge with a sensitivity to his patient.
I love this Dr. I've stopped seeing my regular Dr. and now I go to Dr. Pugach when I'm ill. He never turns a patient away and you ALWAYS see Dr. Pugach, not just a nurse practitioner. I don't understand any of the negative reviews. I've been going to this location for two years now and I've never had a bad experience.
Made a smart decision to leave before we got ripped off. Pulling into this place, in the major ghetto, I tried not to judge a book by its cover since its a Saturday, my real doc is unavailable and I have the flu. The rate online said $85 so I told the girl there, who seemed unknowledgeable, but wore scrubs, that we had insurance and she said, "okay, your amount is $150" and I told her that was not the rate online and she told me that rate was ONLY if I paid out of pocket. I said I'll pay out of pocket, and she said "SORRY I'VE ALREADY MARKED YOU W INSURANCE. Umm, that would've been nicer to know at the beginning of payment, but that shows you the greedy perspective of that doctors office. The great thing about insurance is you can go wherever you want!! Stay away from here, unless you prefer to pay more.
This doctor ran test and saw that my cholesterol levels were high but refused to prescribe me medication. Claims that he spoke with me regarding changing my diet but did not. He raped my insurance company and refuses refills until I come in. He is not a good doctor at all.
Dr Pugach and his staff were competent, respectful. He was efficient but I did not feel rushed like I have with other physicians. I like him and his staff was good. My medical issue is common but slippery to diagnose and he got it right. I hope they keep their attitudes as they grow and they certainly will!
This place is horrible. The staff is rude and careless. What's more horrible, they lie to you, about your insurance charge, your out-of-pocket payment, etc. Will never return. They even deleted all my reviews elsewhere because I gave them a poor review. Don't get fooled if you see a high rating, they manipulated it!!
