I went to Inspira at Woodbury today, the place was not busy for Memorial Day at 10:12 AM for a swollen left side of my face and severe pain that I rated on the pain chart an 8. First the got my Birthdate wrong then I told the ER staff my problem, which I had for two days and Ibuprofen 800 mgs which I already take PRN was not helping with the pain it didn't even touch it and I was putting a regiment of ice and heat on my swollen face already. The PA ordered XRays of my face to see if there were any fractures, which there was none and being the PA came in right away I thought it was a nice hospital and I have over twenty years medical experience in the EMS Field, I really thought Wow. But my hopes were really let down the nurse that was in charge of the room even though she was nice really should have took this day off, I waited over an hour for her to even pop her head into the room, one other patient of hers even left and refused medical treatment from this hospital. Finally this pompous Dr comes in and tells me that I have an tooth abscess and no broken bones and tells me to take Advil for the pain and use heat compresses and see an oral surgeon and gives me antibiotic script and leaves. So I sit for another half hour my husband finally after three times of asking for my nurse to get me some pain medication because I am crying she goes to the pharmacy another person comes in and does a recheck on my vitals and ask me what my pain level is I tell him it is still an 8 and he leaves. My nurse finally comes in gives me a shot of Toradol and explains to me my discharge instructions when I ask for a script for pain medication because the Ibuprofen nor the Advil are not working for my pain she goes and ask this Dr. Bonnerand he bluntly says NO! Take the Advil. I lost my faith in this hospital or him if I do come back I will not see him. Or does this hospital not like giving out scripts for pain medication when the patient needs it, or will this Dr face retribution from the hospital from writing to many pain scripts? The not so funny thing is on the discharge sheet it says if your face swells or if your pain worsens come back,,,,, so I went to my local RiteAid filled my antibiotic and of course my face has swollen more and I am back to taking my Ibuprofen 800mg every four hours to keep the pain abay and going to see a Dentist in the morning. I might be a retired Emergency Medical Technician and a Muti Skilled Technician and a Phlebotomist, I have compassion towards my patients and I think the ER Staff that I had today needs a lesson in that or at least remember why they got into this career. My whole ER visit was from 10:12 AM to 13:08 PM

I saw him in the ER at Underwood. He was very helpful and kind. He explained everything that he was doing and was happy to answer my questions. He did seem a bit rushed, but it's the ER so that's to be expected. He got me fixed up and out of the ER pretty quick

I was in the ER over 12 hours, he never came to check on me. Finally, my husband made me come over because I was in ALOT of pain. He mocked me, belittled me, then yelled at me. This man (if you can even call him that) is UNPROFESSIONAL and should be fired. Doctors are supposed to be helpful not hurtful. I will NEVER use Underwood Memorial Hospital again because of this "Doctor".
