Ratings for Dr. Errol Stern
On July 16, 2017, I accompanied my mother to the ER of the Jewish General Hospital after she sustained an injury to her head. She was treated by Dr. Errol Stern, the attending physician that afternoon. He was attentive, thorough and extremely kind. He did not push for any unnecessary procedures and was very reassuring. Dr. Stern helped make my mother's ER experience as pleasant as possible.
I recently required emergency medical care at the JGH I knew it would be a long day and I kept my expectations low, however as the day progressed and I was processed in a timely manner, I was truly grateful at how well I was being taken care of Dr Errol Stern was my attending physician and if not for his kind and professional manner I don't know how I would have survived the ordeal He was more than my Dr, he was a compassionate and caring person who took his time with me and was very patient He shared all the medical findings assuring that I understood what it all meant Dr Stern is a very special Dr and anyone under his care is blessed He is professional, competent, compassionate and I feel confident in his care He followed up with me in hospital two days later and set up further testing on Tuesday I can't express my gratitude adequately for his care and concern Thank you Dr Stern and the staff of the JGH emergency ward
In a busy Emergency room Dr Stern took the time to explain the tests he was doing on me and what the results of each meant. He continued to track me when I moved out of his care and followed up to ensure I was feeling better. I have only positive things to say about my entire process through the Jewish.
I was in the emergency ward of the Jewish General Hospital recently and I did not know what to expect in this very busy environment. Dr. Stern took his time and had the patience in giving me a thorough examination and an excellent diagnosis and a very clear explanation of his findings. Dr Stern was professional, kind, attentive, concerned and extraordinarily caring in my situation. He followed up with further medical information when I returned home. In my opinion Dr. Stern is an excellent physician and a compassionate human being. It takes this type of special person to attend to others with such kindness and concern. Thank you Dr Stern for your competence, knowledge and professionalism shown to me Mel
I went to the emergency of the Jewish General Hospital as a result of a severe back pain. I was attended to by Dr. Stern in a timely manner even though I knew that the emergency is where people are treated on priority bases. I was totally astonished by his calmness, attentiveness and overall mannerism. He treated my like he was my family general practitioner. He never rushed me out of the room which has been my past experiences with other physicians. He explained my ordeal to me in a simple lay man language. I left the ER feeling better just by his professionalism and empathy. In summation, Dr. Stern affirms my belief that there are countless ways of attaining greatness but any road taken in reaching one's maximum potential must be built on a bedrock of respect for every individual, a commitment to excellence and a rejection of mediocrity. I wish more Doctor's will emulate him and treat every patient like a family member.
My mother was in emergency room at the Jewish general hospital he was the doctor on call. She was waiting on a stretcher in a room for 4 hours until he came to see her. I watched him spending much of the time playing with his phone. Taking food from pt trays. And looking on his computer all the time. He saw only 1 other person in the entire time. And finally when he visit my mother he didn't answer any question. Didn't even listen. I was so happy to see another doctor (don't remember his name) who came one hour later and listened treated my mother and sent her home with antibiotics. He should never be a doctor
I took my mom at the emergency after falling in a coma in my hands and when I got to the hospital I already found her in the hands of Dr Stern who already had diagnosed her within a couple of minutes with a perforation of the abdomen . He brought a surgeon right away and she went in the operating room. He took the time to explain to me and to follow up on her and come visit her. I never had such experience with all Drs I have met and the service at the emergency was extremely fast and effective . Doc you are the best !!
After waking up to an intense pain and spending about an hour on the ground, I decided to call info sante 8-1-1 and they advised me to go to the ER if the pain persisted. I was about to undergo a hernia surgery a week later and thought the pain was related but in fact it was not. After a couple hours in triage & experiencing the worst pain ever at times....I finally met a nurse, resident & Dr Stern. The doctor wasn't convinced it was my hernia and after an ultrasound, urine & blood tests and a CT scan, we determined it to be a kidney stone. Dr Stern is an awesome ER doctor whom I'm grateful I fell on. He gave me a couple prescriptions and I was discharged. The whole ER staff was great but especially Kudos to Dr Stern who was very helpful and gave an impressive diagnostic! Daniel
