I fee sorry for you if you and your family happen to have Dr. Cogan do your PRE or anything. You are going to be his victim. Your children are going to be his victims. He has no concern about the kids at all. It is all game. He is very corrupted. He has no mercy to take advantage of your money and your family's conflicts. He disguise himself pretty well through out the process. In the end, you realized what a phony he is, but then it is too late, since he got your money by providing you the poorest quality of report. You know what, your parenting time is going to be 50 50. Please don' t wast your time and money. If you can leave him, you should not have any hesitation. After you read his reviews, don't you think idiot would still go with him. Unless you are that one just has the money and no where to donate. If you love your children, then don't choose Dr. Cogan. He is extremely corrupted.

After Dr. Cogan took $23,000.00 from my ex and I. I have received the worst quality of report that you can imagine, and his conclusion was ludicrous. All I can say is that Dr. Dana Cogan is very incompetent. That is why he has to list pages of qualifications on his resume. Even some day he may have 100 year of experience, I tell you, you will be a big victim if you ended up in his hands. I feel very sorry for you if you have to go through the process with him.

We are fortunate to be able to use this service to alert others about Dr. Cogan's dangerous business model. Based upon our experience, dr. Cogan does not care about you or your family. Dr.Cogan simply wants to earn more business, and that means creating more conflict. Based upon our experience here's what he does: Heprefers to interview collaterals with whom he can take your retainer and distribute. psychologists and therapists will get a lot more interviews.Teachers, coaches, clergy, and those who actually observe your child may not get interviewed at all. Dr. Cogan will try to get your family involved with more therapy and more psychological a valuation than you ever thought were possible. It may not seem like a bad thing at face value, but remember that his objective is to drum up business.he doesn't care if your conflict really ever gets resolved. He just wants more referrals.he will prefer to send you to somebody who runs the same type of shop that he does. They know the code. There is a really good chance that your case fits within a specific pattern ofdynamics. in other words, your conflict could probably get resolved relatively easily with somebody who has supposedly this number of years of experience. He would rathercollaborate with somebody who is willing to hide psych results that might indicate one party is, say, a sociopath or psychopath, and focus on another party who has anxiety or depression from the whole event. What he decides to do depends upon how much extra business and how many billable hours he can actually generate. There may be a good chance that your attorney has already been burned by him. Many people have. However, he does have some friends in the judicial districts around the state who will throw him business. Actually, the fact of the matter is many of the judges and divorce industry professionals have this type of relationship, which makes the entire process so extremely dangerous. However, what makes Dr. Cogan stand out from our experience is that he does not uphold medical standards to which he should be expected as a licensed medical doctor.there's a lot at stake here and if you really dig deep you will be able to seethat this is one of the most selfish and harmful people with him you could possibly work in the state of Colorado.

We were fooled by Dr. Cogan's medical degree. We thought that because he is trained to identify pathology, that he would use this medical training to have a better understanding of our children's health issues. When conducting our evaluation, he did not consult with our children's pediatrician or medical professionals. Instead, he requested meaningless, benign collaterals that he could use to bolster his opinion. His report was so watered down that we had to seek someone to conduct a meaningful evaluation. This cost us double the money and our children will be suffering for years because Dr. Cogan depleted our resources. In summary, avoid Cogan at all costs. He has a nifty business model where some judges arbitrarily throw him business (especially his buddies in Douglas County), but stand your ground and demand another evaluator (or no evaluator at all--hard to do when your children have genuine medical issues, I know). Dr. Cogan is one of our few life regrets.

I am joining the ranks of others who are leaving reviews to caution other patients about the harm that Dr. Cogan brings to families. Dr. Cogan does not conduct a thorough or careful assessment of collaterals. I also agree with prior reviews that his bedside manner is atrocious and he acts like someone with autism (no offense to those who are on the autism spectrum--they can't help it but Dr. Cogan is a licensed medical doctor and makes a lot of money. There are higher standards for him). Like others who have written reviews, Dr. Cogan sided with us in our legal case, but he did such a poor job investigating and writing that we are vulnerable if an appeal is filed. I honestly cannot recommend him in good faith. If he reads this and decides to retire, I feel as though I have done a favor to others.

Dr. Cogan isn't compassionate, and he doesn't write well. He writes like a high school student. You would think that you'd at least get something readable if you are spending thousands of dollars for a court ordered report. The judge in our went with our recommendation, but made several sarcastic comments about Dr. Cogan's write-up. We spent months worrying about an appeal because Dr. Cogan's report had so many holes in it and the sentences were incomplete. It seemed to us that he just copied and pasted language from previous evaluations. My lawyer said that he'll never work with Dr. Cogan if he can help it. I want to warn everyone I know to pick someone else. I can't see how he stays in business if the quality of his work is so poor.

Dr. Cogan is a sheep in wool's clothing. He acts like he is doing the best for the family but he is doing what is most convenient for him. Real professionals actually work on behalf of the patient, but this isn't Dr. Cogan. He makes a ton of money and thrives off of the misfortune and grief of others. It's a tough profession, and he does it no honor. Think "snake oil salesman", but with a medical degree and who is educated enough to know better. His "Plan B" program is just a money pit.

Dr. Dana Cogan ignores input from other professionals, including medical doctors. He does not keep the children's best interest in mind. He will pad his billing sheet as much as possible. Stay away, no matter who referred you.

No matter how much you trust your attorney, understand that Dana Cogan is a hired gun with a lot of experience. Hiring Dana Cogan is like rolling dice. He is intelligent, but are you willing to take the chance hiring him?
