Ratings for Dr. Phillip M. Gilson
Dr. Gilson was very thorough at my appointment, showed an honest concern for my reason for being there, listened to me, talked with me about what he felt we should do. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gilson.
After a week in pain, 2 office visits, 3 tests and no phone calls for results, I was basically told I was a liar and the pain was not kidney even though I have a 2cm stone, blood in urine, and pain. Asked if I had a temp said i didnt know i dont have a thermometer but never took it in the office. Very Very poor patient care!
Worst Uroligist I ever went too. Very sarcastic, wouldn't listen at all, made fun of my requests, scared me rather than trying to help, smart elic, snotty attitude, I got up and walked off, would never ever recommend this guy to my oldest dog. I found a great urologist in Indy.
Helped in the care of my father for kidney cancer. Operated on him. Respected his opinions as he took the time to listen to my stubborn Dad. Even took the time to come visit father in hospital when the cancer dr was in charge of dad. I would recommend him.
Provider did not do a urinalysis and I ended up very sick in the hospital.

Rotten disposition, No compassion. Very argumentative over really nothing , like a question. It's like he is arguing with himself. Very bizarre. He makes snippy comments during casual conversation and views questions as intrusion into his authority. Most bizarre thing I've seen in a doctors office and outside a doctors office for that matter. To me, he appears to have some type of personality trait gone bad. Being a doctor where you hold peoples trust is the worst career he could have chosen. However, would he act like that in the working world. he would be getting his nose broke for a while until he realized his flaw. But he is comfortable being that way to nervous patients who come to him because they have a health problem. There are actually people in this world who need the feeling they get when they belittle other people and verbally over power people. It gives them a sense of superiority and it's like a junky needing a fix. They act that way because they need that "fix" so to speak that they get when they demean people. It's a personality trait that they keep through their whole life. I pity these types of people and forgive how he treated me and hope he can overcome it and get better. Sincerely, patient
